I figured Id do this today to add a little something to the forum for yall to bitch about again.

Alpha

Sarajevo at Barger Hill
Despite having a -3TO margin last season, Barger Hill still beat Sarajevo. This season some of the talent of Sarajevo decided to go elsewhere, even two of their long time GMs. Barger Hill would have beat Sarajevo at full strength, but now they will certainly win. Barger Hill is the anti-Kazan, they win their close games and I said before the season, there is no reason why they cant win Alpha.

Couch Potatoes at NY Knights
Seriously do you need for me to tell you what will happen here? NY looks like it has the talent to keep it more competitive than they have, I thought in the preseason that they would be better than they are, I thought wrong. Figure over 100 for GCP and less than 10 for NY.

Vilinus at Kazan
Kazan pulled a "Kazan Special" last week against GCP, being the better team on the field, lighting it up and somehow throwing away a game they should have won. On the other side, Vilinus is a really solid team who beat Dubrovnik, despite not boosting yet. Prague played Vilinus and they have some interesting tactics. What I would really say is that this game will come down to can Kazan light up this defense like they did the GCP? And can their defense shut down Vilinus. I think that Kazan might have defensive issues, because defense is what wins games when they are tight.

Minsk at Dubrovnik
Talent depleated Minsk under a new owner takes on the juggernaut that is Dubrovnik. Minsk was able to keep it respectable against Chaos Theory last week, but I dont see anything under 70 points for Dubrovnik unless they pull a Belgrade and put the HB at QB and run every play. Even then Dubrovnik probably rushes for 600 yards and 70 points.

St. Petersburg at Team Phoenix
Team Phoenix is horrible, there has just always been teams that were even more horrible in Alpha so they are still there. RARs by like 50 at least, it wont be close.

Washington at East Alabama
Wow talk about foreign territory, I swear this is Eastern Europe Pro .. but there could be few places more backwards than Eastern Alabama. Anyhow, Washington will go in there, throw a lot of passes and score a lot of points, beating up on newbies is no problem. East Alabama hasnt allowed under 56 this season, expect them to continue that trend. Also whereever Beefeater is, he should be kicked in the balls for not releasing his players and leaving them to this mess. This team is not more competitive than a gutted team, but has a lot of players trapped.

Hungarian Thunder Hogs at Demon Brigade
Ha .. ha ha .. another cupcake special, Psychonaut could score 200 if he wanted, heck the sim might not give him a choice. NY Knights scored 96, Barger Hill scored 188 .. I figure that the Demon Brigade arent stat padders and people who run up the score like some teams, so lets call it 150-0.

Sheboygan at NFL
This would have been an exciting game last season (though NFL lost 30-3 early in the season), it will be interesting to see how quickly the new owner of CT gets his team together. He was able to beat gutted Minsk last week, but NFL is a solid team and knows what they are doing. Based on experience and recent competitiveness Id call NFL to win this game, but they better not predict they are going to win again.

Zeta

Stalingrad at Bora Bora
This one probably wont be close, if this was still Budapest, they had their stadium, last season's chemistry, all their players still, this would be a tossup. But with losing all of those things and that they are waiting to boost, whereas SGA has boosted, I figure they will win.

Transylvania at Dubai
After beating two of the best teams in Zeta the past two weeks, Dubai gets a break and gets to beat up on a gutted team. They can score what they want, it will probably be over 100 no matter what, thats how the sim rolls. They have earned this bit of rest though. Also finally Reject sold this team back to the game today, so the game actually might be simmed with a computer owner, or someone will have under 20 hours to try to get players on the team, not a small task.

Prague at Szolnok
Prague will win, it might be 200-0. We are trying a lot of fun stuff out for the next few weeks because well, gutted teams are for trying tactics.

Lafayette at Leningrad
Leningrad (Novosibirsk) is a solid team, they have some elite talent, but just not enough of it. They will be a playoff team this season due to all the gutting that has happened, but dont expect them to beat a team that has as much or as deep of talent as Lafayette. Yeah Lafayette has been humbled in EE Pro .. they thought their defense was going to be like it was against AAA competition, it hasnt been. And their star QB? Yeah 1TD, 5INTs. They dont get to pad stats this week as Leningrad will be solid and make them work for a win, but there is very little chance that they lose.

Cincinnati at Chernobyl
In Season 1 or Season 2, this might have been a marquee game, Season 3 saw Chernobyl implode (hopefully there wasnt too much fallout) and Cincinnati has some elite talent, but is in the same boat as Leningrad, they just dont have enough talent or depth to be a top team. That said, they will kick the crap out of the rebuilding Chernobyl, as they are still looking for talent and there isnt much to be had.

Helsinki at Scotch
What can I say here, Dubai sliced up Helsinki's pass defense like I thought wasnt possible and then the next week they have to play Malachorn's team, who just is a clinic of the passing game. Helsinki has the talent to beat Scotch and before today Helsinki hadnt boosted, but it looks like they are overreacting to their loss against Dubai and they are boosting to take on Scotch. On the other side, Scotch beat Lafayette and could make it 2 of the top teams in 2 weeks if they beat Helsinki. With the excellent DBs on Helsinki, I figure that they might be able to shut down the one dimensional offense of Scotch and win.

Moscow at Greek
The Greek Fire are the Zeta surprise team of the year IMO. Sure, you can say Dubai finally winning games that they are capabale of winning is a bigger surprise, but for a gutted team the Greek Fire are really keeping games competitive. They lost to two of the best teams in Zeta by 31 and 33, if I was a new owner without elite talent, Id take that. Its certainly better than the 100+ we are seeing from other gutted teams. They might not make it above slot 10 this season, but they will be right there and if they can get together some tactics, they might be able to upset a 2nd tier team like Bora Bora, Cincinnati or Leningrad. Anyhow the gutted Moscow they will ream, enjoy those games against other gutted teams, because they will soothe the pain when you play the beasts of the conference.

Silesia at Belgrade
If the real Belgrade wouldnt have whined their way out of EE Pro .. this game would be like 200-0, they had an elite team, all boosted with high levels. As it stands, the few that remain on their hull of a team still has the talent to destroy Silesia. Silesia has no talent, hasnt had talent for 2 seasons now and still finds a way to win a game or two here and there to keep in EE Pro. Eventually folks will stop gutting teams and they might give up. Belgrade wins and wins big.

At least 6 players on Helsinki have boosted that I can see. No one on your team should be more than L26 or possibly 27 if they havent boosted.

Also Jiddy suddenly leaping to starting TE is because he boosted, hes the 6th even though hes 27.

And I made the statement because Royce boosted his two primary players since yesterday.

Maybe Im watching your team harder than you are?

There's always the 3-5 players that boost early even if the team is boosting late. It happens

EDIT in response to his EDIT: Haha, true. Someone IM'd me that my backup had boosted. I wasn't aware of it yet and they had already seen it. Some people are like hawks

We aren't done shopping for talent yet. My goal is to be competitive before the end of the season and to go toe to toe with anyone next season.

I'll speak up as the big guilty party for the Kazan loss. 7 missed tackles and a blown coverage by my CB alone caused 3 of the TDs against us. Had my players tactics set poorly and it showed. Overall, the Horde learned a lot from that last game and we're looking to bounce back this week.

Its pretty tough man .. there is barely any 20+ talent out there that you wouldnt have to poach directly from teams. And honestly right now post boosting, unless the talent is over lets say 25 or 26, that means that they were 22 or 23 naturally. So to be tied talent wise with the top teams in Zeta, you need players who boosted are around 28 or 29. At the end of this season there will be at least one player on Prague that should hit 32 and one other that will be really close.

Yeah Descartes sucked really bad in that game and gave away the backbreaker TD at the end of the game.

You know Chemistry is not everything... you got to factor in SGA obsession with Midget orgy-ies on game day... They may come up a little short

Come on now. For rebuilding, lost to SGA by 47 and Bora by 31. Not even having a full starting roster I would say that's good. Kick the crap out of us? Don't be so kind.
