I'll let others do the rankings/etc., but for now:

East St. Louis discovers that the Pro League is tough from top to middle, as Ashwaubenon beats them in a barn-burner. Seems like yesterday Ash and Aggieland were thrown to the wolves in the Pro League as expansion teams, and apparently they've done their homework very well. A furious rally by ESL comes up short at the end.

Bangkok keeps rolling
The steadily-improving Macau puts away Tokyo
Phuket does the same to Chaiyaphum
Niagara wins handily against bottom-rung Holbrook
Singapore puts away an easy one
Xi'an gives Taiwan another loss

Holy crap what a game between the Partisans and Pirates. 31-30, with Pattaya's D holding off the Pigskins twice in the last five minutes.

Yeah. 3rd game today I've lost by a late 4th quarter drive.

This week was "wow". East St Louis Tire Fires and Neo Armstrong Cyclone Jet Armstrong Cannon both see their impressive winning streaks come to an end.

I under-estimated the Wolverines at the start of the season. They've now beaten two quality opponents and played the Marauders tough last week. Looking at the schedule, it would be no surprise to see them 7-1 going in to week nine and playing for sole first place in the conference. Still lots of games to be played, but very nice start for them.

I think we all knew the Pirates/Partisans game was going to be a good one and it didn't disappoint.

The Tweetys come out with their third straight convincing win. Big game coming up for them this week.

The Ducks earn a nice victory over the Stampede and it looks like we will have a nice week five match-up between two 4-0 teams in the Ducks and the Highlanders.

I would be pretty happy if that ends up being the case...We got great gameplanning going on.

I like your thinking.... a lot. hehe. It's been an interesting start to the season. I'm glad to see we're beyond the point of looking at the matchup numbers and declaring a winner.

good game Wolverines, you definitely didn't sneak up on us, I was expecting a tough one and that's what we got. Hope to see you again in the playoffs! Give your HB props for me, that's the best rushing attack we've seen in a VERY long time.

Your team is very good (that's an understatement), and we were fortunate to win. I run the tactics for us and I was like "oh man.. this one is going to be tough, where to start?" he he

If we can keep our team together and get some wins there's a good chance we may be seeing you in the playoffs. We were an expansion team here in Season 2, and it has NOT been easy - I'll tell ya that.. So, I'm just happy the guys that signed on for the a$$ whoopings early on - gutted it out and trusted our GM's..

You guys definitely had my attention going in, I run the D for ESL and you guys(finally someone did) broke the record for most points scored against me since I took over the D(prior was 17)

I expected the WR's to do some damage, but the HB did alot more than I thought he would which was surprising and why I said to give him props. With the changes Bort keeps making to the passing game/CBs(sorry, he's bothering my by "tweaking everything over and over and over again) it's hard to tell why things happen sometimes. My WR had 2 TDs and I still think it was more because of the tweaks then anything either of us did

You guys earned that win and have my respect no doubt, but the HB was the one that surprised/impressed me the most, we usually hold teams to way less ypc than that. Now i'm going to have to rethink my D for Bangkok in a few weeks No offense intended to your wideouts, i'm happy to be here with this type of competition! I'd rather loose a game like this then blowout teams, believe that!

Next time we meet, I hope the outcome will be in our favor! Good luck the rest of the way!

nice Mewelede he he

Hurricane - meet Mewelde - our playmaking WR

The "HB" in question is mine too.. Lazar. To be honest his stats have been way up and down depending on the games. I think we have 2 decent backs actually. IronHead our other HB at times plays better than Lazar, and then you have a game like this where the opposite is true. I noticed you guys have a similar situation - but you have 2 very high ypc backs on average - hence the nervousness about the matchup..

To be honest I'm frustrated with the offensive AI at times because I think it's constraining, but I realize that we are in the early stages of where that's going to go. Eventually it will be pretty cool with more choices for subs/formations etc, and I'm looking forward to that. It could just be that I'm more used to doing the defensive side, and I'm a rook at the offensive side? Hard to say..

Unfortunately we both have Bangkok on the horizon he he.. We haven't had much luck against those guys in 2 seasons..

Anyways - good game, and good luck.. man.. SE Asia Pro Alpha Conference is pretty f-ng bad ass isn't it?
