I just created entire O-Line. I re-rolled till I got sizes I was looking for-

OT- 6'6" - 310
OT- 6'6" - 318
C - 6'5" - 332
OG- 6'5" - 324
OG- 6'5" - 324

I have not used Skill points on any yet. In future looking to put line together on same team. I know Strength & Blocking are the key attributes for all, but what would be best individual direction to go in after that?

nothing for a while. for each player, pick either strength or blocking and build that to 48, then the other to 48, then go back to the first one and build it to 60, then the other. you may want to only bring each to 48 and then spread pts around, or only one to 60, but that's personal preferrence. But there's no question that bringing each to 48 before spending a single SP elsewhere will benefit your players best for the future.

And I'd keep training stamina so you don't have to train on relax every day and so you can stay in games longer and get max XP.

Actually, if you have a CLEAN slate with ZERO skill points invested...

STEP 1: Train STR to 25 across the board. Once it's at 25, invest in STR as follows:
C +4 cap
G +4 cap
OT +3 cap

STEP 2: Once done training STR to 25, switch to train BLK to 25. Once it's at 25, invest as follows:
C +4 cap
G +3 cap
OT +3 cap

STEP 3: If you are gonna be competitive, start training STA. If you have a bit more time to develop, go with AGI. Train to 25, take all to the +2 cap, otherwise train STA to 25 and take to 35 with SP.

STEP 4: Whichever you didn't do in Step 3, take care of in Step 4.

STEP 5: Train VIS/CONF/SPD. Guards & OT, invest some in SPD.

STEP 6: Start working on special abilities around levels 24ish.

There you go...massively dominant OL!

this is probably the simplest most accurate "guide" to building oline that I've seen. It's almost exactly what I do with my builds.

as your stats go higher, they begin to get more expensive. in order to go from 48.0 to 49.0, it costs 1 skill point. but in order to go from 49.0 to 50.0, it costs 2 sp. So 49 is considered the +2 soft cap. It means that you spent as high as you could before you have to spend 2 sp to get one point in a skill.

this thread discusses the actual limits (you don't have to go past page one)

that's going to take a while, lol

the +4 cap is at 68, where it takes 4 SPs to go up one point.
the +3 cap is at 60, where it takes 3 SPs to go up one point
the +2 cap is at 48.07. I don't know why its .07 but eh

anyways to get your strength from 25 to the +4 cap, you would need 71 SPs. Taking blocking to the 3 cap, assuming that you're starting from 25 as well, would take you 47 SPs.

so 71 + 47 SPs = 118 SPs you will need to save up. Which means its gonna take around 20 levels or so to accomplish this feat. Have fun :-p

turns out that a C should be able to get it done by about lvl 15, and a G will take until about lvl 18. Given the lifespan of a player, the amount of time it takes to get this done doesn't seem all that long.

i think level 15 is really really hardcore if you're a C. I could definitely see it happening at level 18 or so.

100 SPs / 5 SPs/level = 20 levels. I also understand that you get like 1 or 2 SPs for your major skills per level upgrade. So assuming 2, after 15 Levels, that 15 * 5 = 75 SPs, plus the 2 you get per level up, which is 30. 75 + 30 = 105 and you're at level 16. This is raw skill, so if you're hardcore and get your strength up to 68 AND THEN YOU THROW DOWN level 16 equipment, you could be a beast at 80 strength

^ What you are forgetting is that for a C you gain +1 to STR/BLK every level. A G gets +0.67/level and an OT gets +0.4.

So, for a level 16 player that is:
C +15 STR/+15 BLK
G +10/+10
OT +6/+6

This is why I like the C at +4/4, G at +4/3 and OT at +3/3 because the level bonuses play out differently and make those goals realistic in a reasonable time frame.

Done right, they can all get done in the ~18 range.

My center is planning on 4 capping the main two at level 16, of course he will be a few points over the 4 cap in strength so I can see someone doing it earlier

^ a lot of it depends on the order in which you do skills.

One of my C's is gonna take longer because I didn't rush both STR and BLK to the +2 cap, which means I'll have to invest more points in both to raise them. However, by the time I get BLK to the +4 cap, I'll have STR close to 80 RAW and be at the +6/7 cap on STR.

I hate to say it, but if you haven't invested in boosting yet, I would retire the whole lot of them and start over.

Height and weight isn't that important. What is important is stats.

Specifically, you want as many 8s as you can get in the following stats: Jumping, Throwing, Catching, Carrying, Kicking, and Punting. Get Tackling as low as possible as well.

The fewer points that are in those stats, the more that will be in Strength, Blocking, and Stamina. That will make it easier to hit softcaps.
