Alright guys these are my inaugural predictions so hopefully they will be ok. Im not expecting comic genius right off the bat and have some big shoes to fill in this role from last year but I will do my best as the Commissioner Lord Salizy, has asked me to try lol. Sorry Salizy but I liked the sound of it...
Birmingham at Minnesota
A new name and a new town...is it enough for the former LA Express to make the playoffs this season? I think so. Is it enough for them to beat Minnesota...definately. It looks like another rough season for Minnesota coming up, but with the new tactics we have yet to see who will rise to the top and who will falter. Birmingham wins big in this one though.
Birmingham 51-7
Honolulu at Chicago
Chicago has a good team and will surely make the playoffs this season, that being said, they drew the Beach Boys in the opener so it looks like a winning streak will have to wait another week to get started. Both teams made some big additions and are poised to go deep into the playoffs, depending on who has a better grasp of the new tactics, this game could be an upset or a blowout, we will have to wait and see. HBB has a new QB and will look to air it out. Can HBB finally get past the Western Conference Finals? We have to wait and see, but step one starts in Chicago.
Honolulu 49-20
Seattle at Dallas
Dallas has had a fantastic off-season, Seattle is owned by a CPU....enough said.
Dallas 38-10
Houston at Timpanagos
The Thunder rolled last season, until they ran into the upstart Ewoks who have moved on to A6 this season. With a top tier team and a legitimate claim for the #1 spot in the West , the Thunder look to be impressive this season. Houston has made strides but that isn't enough when you're standing outside with an umbrella in a Thunder Storm because where there's Thunder there's lighting, Houston gets electrified.
Timpanagos 56-6
Long Beach at Montana
The All-stars are one of those mystery teams, Like Birmingham they have the talent, but seem to fall short in the big games. That being said, the Crow have made some huge changes and are looking to put together their first respectable season but today is not their day. Long Beach has them outclassed and out-manned, better luck next week Montana. Long Beach brings the BB guns to the Crow-field
Long Beach 42-10
PTP at Aurora
The Plague shocked the league last year, this year there is no surprise. Aurora is a new team but they are no cupcakes. We got ourselves a bona-fide contender in this years relegation. I have no background on Aurora so for now the jury is out and Im sticking with the danger I know over the danger I don't. Close game. PTP wins
PTP 17-16
*Blowout of the Week*
Lakewood at Virginia
Virginia has a new name I believe??? I cant seem to recall who they were last season so please feel free to let me know as I don't want to be uninformed. They have a solid team this season and really, it wouldn't matter. The Lancers appear to have gutted or chosen to slow build a team and after two unsuccessful seasons, either choice would have been an improvement. This year will be a long one for Lakewood as the figure to be in this section of the predictions frequently. Virginia wins big.
Virginia 84-0
*Game of the Week*
Mighty at Eugene
Much to the slugs chagrin, they are in the spotlight this week. This game should be an epic battle as two of the top 5 teams battle it out for an early leg up on a playoff opponent. Both teams are quality teams with good builds. Both are pretty even in the match-ups. This could go either way, turnovers and tactics will decide this game, but since the Slugs like to be the underdogs...Slugs win.
Eugene 28-24
