I'd like to start a thread about that.

Recently a lot of people said they run in combo even being an elusive back.
Bort posted an info when the new defense advancde tactics was implemented that lead me a question, here are Bort words :
"Evasive" makes your guy try to rush around the edge and generally avoid the blockers.
"Power" makes your guy bull-rush at them, basically what it's doing now.
"Combo" will choose randomly between the two to mix it up if you're both strong and agile.

While i always thought setting my back to combo will lead in him having a balanced running style (like juking power defender and trying to power through weak defender) i'm yet wondeing if you run on combo if the randomly sim choose one of the style at the start of the play and stick to it ?

i didn't meant the whole game.

For example a play where you face 4 tackler while running on combo did it work like :

A : The AI choose from the start of the play you'll run for power (or elussie) for this entire play
B ; The Ai choose randomly before you face every tackler if you'll try to beat that tackler either with elusive or power style

I would say A, but I'm not 100%. Rarely do I see a back power through, then dance, then power through again. Most of the times they dance early and sprint or they run right into the guy.

It's a good question. I just wonder why there is an elusive option if it works as poorly as everyone seems to think it does. Has Bort ever addressed this?

Bort say he's constantly tweaking the running style to get it where he want. Most people said that elusvie wasn't effective because the HB hesitate too much and dance even when there's an obvious hole.
Can't find the thread anymore but Bort said that maybe a pathfinding issue.

Altough there are people running on elusvie that do well.

Not that i said anything else. It's just that if it work so for the D-line i'm wondering if it's teh same for every other position
