Following up on GwennA's thread, these are my picks for game(s) of the week for week 1:
Vice City Mambas at Akron Browns - this could develop into a fun rivalry as both teams have high powered offenses. Vice City took the season series last year, winning in the regular season and pulling a minor upset by winning on the road in the playoffs. Vice City leads the all time series with a 2-1 record against Akron
Miami Makos at New Hampshire Hustlers - New Hampshire gets an early season gut check against the team everyone picks to be #2. The Hustlers can get a bit of revenge if they can beat the team that essentially eleminated them from the playoffs last season, but it won't we easy. While New Hampshire went thru a minor facelift in their efforts to get better, Miami brings back basically the same team. Everyone will be watching to see if the team the Hustlers put on the field is ready to compete
There are other games of interest, but those 2 jump out at me. I plan on watching Memphis play South Texas - I'd like to see how much better Memphis got. Also the Salem/Houghton game.
