Ya I live on the west coast, I may be a cubs fan, but I will find it a great day when I get to go see Manny play. He has always been a great all around player and look forward to seeing him play.

Another Red Sox die hard Rant incoming, please look away if you don't care.

He had to go, he shot his way outa town, complete douchebag for 3 weeks(not to mention all the shit we let pass because "he was just being Manny" all these years). He wanted out of town when he realized the Sox would not re-negotiate a long term deal and he didn't want his option picked up. Slapping Youkilis, shoving a 68 yr old man to the ground because he could'nt get him like 14 tickets to a sold out game , the day of the game, sitting out a yankees game with a "sore" whatever, and what was that BS with him not swinging at 3 straight pitches against Moe Rivera when he had to pinch hit on his day off, Rivera only throws 1 pitch, CUTTERS. How about jogging to first when he should have been trying to break up a no hitter? The Red Sox, rebuilt the damn locker room so he could have more privacy! The whole region overlooked his boneheaded baseball play and doggin it to first for years when Boston is suppose to love hard work! You can't say otherwise or your just kissing his ass, even though he would kick you in the face at the same time just to try and get a 4 year 100 mil deal. And oh ya, what about his high school baseball team he promised new bats and uniforms like 10 years ago, and has NEVER bothered to come through for them,,,,what would that cost like 4k? He's made 200mil plus?!? and they probably have a freakin statue for him at the school.

Yes Manny was an awsome hitter, thank him for being integral in 2 championships, but there is only so far you should go.

Your lucky Ortiz is your real name, that's a name to respect in all aspects. Why havn't you heard Ortiz or anyone say anything about this? Because Manny was killing the whole team through his greed lately, look at the bounce in their step in just the last 2 games.

I am a Reds fan so no real dog in the hunt here. Heh, no dog in the hunt for a long time now..... But I digress. He was a cancer to that team and needed to go. I was kinda hoping that when all this went down, that Griffey Jr might have got traded to the Sox for a shot at a championship. Well he did, but it was the White ones.

We need to get Griffey Jr back in Seattle. His career has went to hell since he left. We all miss him. When the reds came to town last year, Griffey got standing ovations from the crowd. We miss him and want him back.

Griffey is a class act. I always will wonder what his stats would be had he chose the frequent injection method.

I don't keep up with Seattle much, but you're absolutely right, the day Jr got the plane to go to the Reds it went down hill fast.

Well, I am not sure the Reds are to blame, but the injury bug seemed to bite him alot since he has been a Red.

Im not saying I dont like the trade, but you have to be a little sad that he went though, right? I understand it had to be done, they wouldnt have made the playoffs with him on the team. I like Jason Bay's style better, but you have to admit you are going to miss manny at least a little.

I just don't understand why the Red Sox can't seem to split ways with heroes without throwing them under the bus for whatever reason. It can't be a coincidence that almost every major FA we lose trashes the organization? I guess we have the most cannibalistic press of everybody (Mo, Nomar, Pedro, Foulke have all gotten the shaft for performing badly, and we all know how much the press hated Manny) but it seems like each player who leaves after failing to negotiate with the Sox SLAMS the organization.

Thanks for the memories and a dream recognized, Mr. Ramirez. Have fun on Red Sox West.
