My teammates told me that you have to have a certain lvl of a regular attribute (ex. agility, speed), to have your special attribute to actually take effect (ex. closing speed). if this is true, does anyone have a SS guide to how many attribute points in each attribute you need to put in for each special attribute?

nah i don't think that's the case. but i have heard some people say that SAs really start workin later on (in that case, when more regular attribute points have been assigned...? hmmmmmmmmm)

You definitely want to focus on your regular attributes more, especially at the low levels. A lot of the SAs seem to work better when you've got high stats associated with (some even say this in the SA description, such as super vision). This type of thinking is especially important since the safeties need to be a jack of all trades type player, they need strong speed/agi/vision, but also need some good tackling and strength skills.

Bort has pretty much said that the whole 'need x vision to activate super vision' type logic is wrong. If you add points into SA they definitely do something, you just see MORE of an increase in their affectiveness as your regular attributes go up.

To answer your question, you really don't need much in terms of SAs until atleast level 10-12. My level 24 SS has 3-4-2-2-1 or something like that in the coverage tree and the strong hitter tree is blank -- I think it has worked out well.

Theres no definite number where SA's start to work. But for instance the higher your vision is, the better super vision will work.

my super vision works on nearly ever play now

that's what happens when you're level 19 and have 40 in vision and 5 in super vision

anyways, try to hold off adding pts to SAs until you reach level 12-16, since they will be just wasted SPs until you get up there

when i was a noOb, by the time i was at level 3-4, i had added about 12 SPs to SAs. then i found out that it was stupid to do so; i havent added a point the SAs ever since (though im level 19 now)

The last part is indeed opinion Some players require SAs at earlier stages (like HBs, for one) but in my opinion, SS can do without a major SA influx for a while. Safety needs to focus on so many different attributes to be successful on the field that while you may have 5 super vision at level 12, you're likely not quick enough to get to the play you see developing. You may be very quick with change in direction and closing speed, but you can't wrap up a guy to save your life or see the play well enough.

Things like that. Again, I'm not saying this is in fact the best way to build, just how I did and will continue to do
