Last 2 seasons to major problem with doing All Stars and voting is it was too hard to do. We had to go and PM everybody or something along those lines. Well for this up coming season I propose that we can host the voting on my teams external web forum where we can set up polls allowing people to vote by simply checking off a box in a list of players at that position.

Just throwing the idea out there. Any thoughts?

Multiple Accounts, many players from one team voting, etc.

It's a good idea. I think we should have an open all-star vote.

But also think we should do an owner's vote and get some personal opinions as well.

Well we have all season to figure out a way, I'm just learning how to do all this phpBB stuff but there seems to be a reasonable way to be able to prevent multiple accounts. Anyways we have all season to hammer away at this.

good idea if we can work out those few small things!

I was thinking of maybe dividing it up so that owners, GM's and players can vote and weight each vote.

It would be easy to do we can just create sections which need owners access on the forum, one for gm's only access which each owner has to submit a list with there being a maxium to be agreed upon, and the players poll can be in the general GLB area of the forum which requries user registration so it should cut down on people voting many times.

I like this idea. Have Owners and GMs submit there list of all stars in a thread.

I was thinking that All Stars should be nominated before the non-conference games. That way stats are achieved against conference teams only and that no stats are artifically inflated by playing weaker non-conference teams.

I really do not care about a guy getting 50 TDs vs CPUs and LVL 1 guys. The only way to do this is to put the players you nominate with the stats they have VS the playoff teams (top 8). I really do not care if a guy has crazy stats vs gutted teams, I want to se what they did vs good teams.

If somebody is willing to compile the stats, yea that is fine, and we'll need someone to double check the accuracy.

hello HIDM im assuming you post on footballsfuture because i think i remember you from their. i go by d-town11 you may have seen me around their from time to time

I think a top 5 at each position based on stats with a owner vote on those 5. That way an owner can vote for their own if they are top five but not every owner will have a player in the top five at every position. We can discuss the criterea here for being nominated at contreversial spots like PR or KR. There should be a spot for key role players also like blocking TE and receiving TE or blocking FB and offensive FB. I think it is the only way (by just having owners only vote) to ensure that there are not multiple votes by super active teams or other advantages like making guys GM's just to vote. I would be more than interested to create the ballot and get the owners to vote.
