I have two DE's that have 60+ strength, 48 speed and 60+ Agility, one starts at LDE and the other starts at RDE. Both are attacking the interior of the line rather than going around...in fact my LDE comes in so far he locks up with the Guard many times. The whole D-line like sucks up into the middle. Both of my DE's combined for 4 tackles, no hurries or sacks. They never got close to the QB because of the inside attack pattern.

I had my defense set for 50% outside run and 50% inside run, 30% run 70% pass. Are the basic tactics disabled? I did have the advanced AI enabled, but only had one goal line tactic set.

Looking at some of our conference games, the DT's are having much more luck pass rushing than the DE's are. Our league leading sack leader who is a DE didnt even have a hurry.

My DE went outside almost exlusively last season. In the scrimmage this season, he tried to go around on the inside everytime, which is just asinine and wreaks of a stealth nerf of Speed RDEs. I can see a bull rush being inside, but trying to evade a LT by going towards the LG and C?

I hope it was just a coincidence, but I don't see a dramatic change like that being chance.

My DE was my 1 guy I really liked and if they nerf'd outside speed blitz completely, I'm just gonna retire I think.

noticed that too
the 2 hurry and 1 sack i got was cuz the Qb rolled out towards me.
my teammate's sack came the exact same way

Yup. I have a RDE with high agility and speed. During the scrimmage, not once did he try and go around the LT on the pass-rush like he did last year. Is this now a vision issue? My guy has 30+ vision, which isn't great. It is frustrating to pay money for a game where the admins switch up things and don't even tell you what actually changed. Give us an honest skills guide people.

Both of my DE's have vision at 35+, so no, its not a vision problem.

I had the same issue. It's like my RDE thinks he's running a slant every play. If my 51.5 speed and 60.5 agility are useless, I'm not a happy camper.

Maybe 35 isn't enough vision any more. Maybe it has to get up to the 50s. Maybe confidence is the problem (my guy is in the teens). Maybe it's blocking. Maybe it's friggin throwing. Nobody knows.

fan-frickin-tastic. I guess nobody will get any pass rush from the defensive right side. The RDE will slant into the LG, confusing the heck out of the DT, who tries to go around the RDE but can't. I knew something was up when I played the same team in the last scrimmage, improved my player significantly, and I went from 3 hurries to zero against the same player. I was just running circles around LTs in last season's scrimms, now I look like I have brain damage. I sincerely hope this gets fixed before the season starts.

and? good job but you go outside on those plays 1 time, the other times inside or through, and even those you always start in.

ok so my second game came in just recently.

Noticed the same thing that i noticed first game
he would occasionally shoot out but it was rare
my only sack came when i bull rushed through the tackle and the qb was scrambling. i dont think i have enough str to consistently bull rush. this worries me a lot.

I guess my point is who cares which direction you take as long as you get through? There's still block shedding going on, which is kind of the point of agility and speed, right?
