Any advice. I have no experience building a SS. I am thinking of putting all of my equipment into vision. What should I be training, in what order, and what should I put into skills at creation? I want him to be pretty solid coming out of the D-Leagues. Thanks.

Okay, here he is before adding any SPs. Should I and could I just train him for the whole season, then join a D-League team right before the cap? I really don't care about him losing a season. I would rather have him step in as an impact player when the time is right.

Can develop pretty well in the d leagues, but a team is always better unless your not getting any time.
I personally racked up speed to the soft cap of 48, then placed my equip in vision and I will train agility up. Then str, jumping, tacking and stamina. SS has to almost have it all, but I made sure mine started out with great speed so I don't have to worry about that stat for awhile.

agreed halo that a team is better, but STRONGLY disagree with your second part there. you should never work on one skill alone.
if you want a really solid build kretchfoop, keep your agility JUST below your speed and your vision JUST below your agility. on the side, make sure your tackling is JUST below vision and your strength is, well, just below tackling. (this is for a balanced SS, other people might have differing opinions)
in the meantime, once it works out to where you can get more out of training for the lesser abilities, confidence>jumping>catching
for the SAs on a SS, it seems that super vision and closing speed are huge, and watch out because apparently the wrap up tackle SA is getting nerfed. the big hit and monster hit stuff is kinda vague and fuzzy so don't worry about that
wow that was kinda long, my bad

I wrestled with how I wanted to allocate my points using a slow build, since the whole idea is to push for soft caps, but there seems to be limits for a SS since we need some many different stats. I know I need a lot of balance spread around several stats as a SS, but felt at level 4 I could reach the soft cap in speed, and then concentrate on agility, while giving my vision a little boost through equipment.
I have a long way to go though, but If I can get my agility and vision over 30, I can start working on the other 4 stats, including stamina at some point. Should be fun either way.

My SS will have speed capped by level 5

To OP, I recommend putting equip into stamina so you see more plays and get more xp.

Thanks for the help, guys. I am going to play on relaxed and train stamina, because I could give a shit about my D-League team. I will start adding SPs to SPD and AGI. I typically train STA, CONF, and tackling for a while before I put any SAs in them.
Damn, so many skills to train for a SS. How does anyone manage to find room for SAs?

Playing on relaxed gives you less xp kretch, 40 plays on relax =/= 40 plays on normal. 'least that's what I heard.

because agility is becoming much more important this upcoming season, now there is a direct correlation between that and speed. you must have agility to make speed usable. agility is acceleration and changing direction, speed is just speed... used maybe 5 times max a game for a SS to chase down a WR. it's not worth it

i made the mistake of putting tons of points into the trees very early on, so my player lagged behind for a while, but now it's worth it. they're a long term investment

Well, by the time I'm out of the D-Leagues I look to be around level 12 ish and will have agil and speed soft capped, and by then I can find some desperate owner who just got a new team and work on my vision while im with that team. Yeah, I'm an asshole.
