Debating what stat, if any, to pump up to soft cap.

I trying to decide between strength and agility, what do think would benefit a pass catching TE more? I'm leaning toward strength now, hopefully increasing broken tackles and long gainers. Agility, on the other hand, would probably help with routes and jukes. Any ideas? Strength would probably help out blocking as well so I was thinking thats the way to go.

Think its worth it to max out another stat? I thinking that I probably get better production throughout the season with a more balanced approach. Anyone know about how many levels a level 17 would get in a full season?

My guys stats at 14 btw:

physical Attributes Football Skills
Strength: 30.9 Blocking: 21.5
Speed: 54.38 Tackling: 12.2
Agility: 27.36 Throwing: 9
Jumping: 11.08 Catching: 28.37
Stamina: 28.46 Carrying: 15.19
Vision: 26.91 Kicking: 9
Confidence: 13.05 Punting: 9

You should go with a balanced approach...put points into agility and catching if you are going to be a recieving TE...don't forget about confidence with penalties and drops having it at 13 could be very bad.

Agility. Here is a little highlight of my TE, and what agility/speed can do for you.

It sounds like you'll be boosting to 17 early? Depending on how much XP you have, you'll be level 21-22 at the end of the season.

as a receiving te i would say agility, helps you get open and get yac.

well i went ahead and boosted strength to the soft cap. I wanted to see the results of having all that strength when the safeties and corners try and tackle me, hoping that it will result in as many missed tackles as the points in agility, but also ramp up my pancakes in the blocking game.

I going to gamble with my catching skill and leave it at about 30, at least for this season. I hoping drops don;t become to much of a problem, because it will take most of the season to train carrying and confidence to where i want them. Should have plenty of agility to as I plan to spend most of my SP there and vision

I would have said Agility. My TE has had back to back 900+ yards 80 catch seasons with only 30 strength put with speed at 45 agility at 40, route run at 8, and catching soft capped

catching does more than just prevent drops

You're catching seems pretty low.... my 19 receiving TE has 51 catching. He doesn't drop too many passes, but considering how infrequent passes come his way (compared to WRs), it is pretty important to make the catch.
