I'm having trouble, as are many others, coming up with a 5th WR for my team. What I do have is a nice speedy third string RB that I would like to use as a WR. Has anyone attempted this with good results? If so, what seemed to work attribute wise to make it a success?

I think a TE would work out better. Unless the HB has good catching.

I've got a third TE that may fit the bill. I'll raise the catching on the RB and experiment a little with him as well. Thanks for the feedback.

HBs work well as 5th WRs. Amazingly when they line up in the 5th WR spot they can all the sudden hang on to the ball despite the fact that every swing pass to the same player out of the HB spot is bobbled.

The HB that we played occasionally at the #5 WR spot didn't even raise his catching so I'd imagine if you are willing to train and/or invest a few SPs into the skill it would go pretty smoothly.

players lined up in HB position must get a -% To catching or something. Or those lined in receiver gets +% Catching. Second makes more sense.

QB's who don't invest in dump pass get penalties to their short passes.. combine with your normal HB receiving & there you have it. When you factor in the QB side of the equation & not just the HB side, it makes sense that backs catch better further downfield. Swing passess aren't the rocket passes most qb's are built to throw.
