Ok, I will have 15 points to spend from the boosts, and am looking for some advice on where to spend them. At the moment, this is my thinking:

Vision +4 (get it to softcap - has 4 points from equipment on it)
+1 First step (2 points)
+1 Change direction (2 points)
+1 Swat Ball (2 points)
+1 Super Vision (2 points)
Then either +1 in Change Direction or Super Vision to use the remaining points up (2 or 3 points)

Anyone got any comments or ideas?

Depends on your league and your opponents. I hazard a guess, that you will see WR with speed 70+. Maybe work a little bit on speed. Agility should be ok, but not sure with the upcoming changes.
Softcap vision is something you really should do.
But should start training some confidence!
I wouldnt put points into first step, rather put them into change direction, swat ball and super vision.

I'd hold some SPs back to see how that nerfed Wrap Up hits your guy.

Its gonna cost more than 2 sp to boost super vision. More like 3 sp. Th cost goes up the higher th SA is.

since your gonna boost right from the start i would put 6pts to strength, 4pts to tackling, 1 pt to vision, and then 4 pts to closing speed because you'll get a speed bonus when you have to chase somebody down, and thats what your looking for. your build looks a lot like mine, except that i have more pts in my SAs, they help a lot in the coverage tree but haven't done a lot for me in the hard hitter tree.

Now can you explain exactly, what that 30 strength, 35 tackling has done for your guy?

Don't get me wrong. 30 is a nice looking number and 35 looks fancy.

But what does it do?

the biggest thing that i have noticed is that i didn't miss a single tackle last season. i'm advising getting more strength and higher tackling because BORT has said that the wrap up tackling option will not be as effective any more. and personally i would rather have maybe a few more points in tackling and strength than i actually need than find out after a RB bowls me over on his way to a game winner. but thats just me. my team has a RB with nearly 70 strength for just that reason, and i've seen the guy break 4-5 tackles on his way to a TD, and i'm sure we're not the only team with that idea. and before you say anything else, yes that RB is effective with almost 1800 rushing yds and 125 broken tackles. like i said, better safe than sorry, right?

So you want to be a run stopper, taking care of any RB coming up the weak side?

That's fine, but don't expect your guy to be as effective on pass plays. It's always one way to choose (what you'll sacrifice + what you'll gain).

Looking at Spike25, he focussed his FS on pass defense so far. His stats show 4 missed tackles out of 25 last season, but then again... my FS had 1 missed out of 76 (strength / tackling was lower than spikes numbers last season). So sure... any defensive guy has to watch the effects of season 4 tackling changes - but then again:

I'd rather miss 1 - 3 tackles every game but shut down the weak side passing as much as can be than missing 2 tackles all season and allowing 6 TD passes. But it's a question about who does what. If your CBs are weak but fast + agile and there's no support by the ROLBs - you got to take care of the RB yourself. Otherwise it might be good enough to slow the RB down by a missed tackle (and let the LB clean up).

I don't want to get into an arguement. I just wanted to point out, that "add strength and tackling" is one way to go, but might just be the "wrong" one. I'd watch those scrimmage games and decide how much improvement tackling needs. But I wouldn't dump points without a severe reason.

first, sorry for this thread jack.

rap, my FS is actually really good in pass coverage, which is one of the reasons why i suggest adding to strength, because with his particular build i don't think its going to hurt him.

i don't think this is an argument at all, we need these types of threads because there is no guide for this stuff, we all just have to figure it out.
