I must have been asleep at the wheel (or going blind on the players looking for teams forum )

No idea ... just seeing it myself. May have happened at the the 12:00 rollover?

But it's worse than that ... almost their entire team is gone!

They now have 1 player on offense, 7 on defense, and 0 kickers. It's a complete gut-job, although it remains to be seen what actually happened to the players.

I'm guessing contracts ran out. I saw a few other teams like this during the day, but didn't realize it had happened to one in our league.

edit: Did I read somewhere that players can opt out of their contracts if a team goes CPU, or am I crazy?

The owner might not have piad for the team beyond 2 seasons. Since we all came in for season 2, the initial buy expires at season 4 ...

Just a thought

I know one of the changes for this season is that players can opt out if they're not paid for 3 days, but I can't help you on the CPU issue. That would be a great idea though. I've talked to a TON of good players stuck on teams like this who had no way of getting out.

Probably just letting the team run out. A shame, definitely.

Agreed. I find it hard to believe anyone would just want to dump a team (without real cause) after working so hard on it, but I suppose it happens.

some people just don't like being owners, one of my GMs had a team and sold it back because he didn't like the politics. The Oc doesn't get along with the Dc the QB wants to pass more rbs want to rush more etc.. everyone wants to leave to go to a friends team or their own team. I haven't had a ton of issues myself so I don't really get it myself but apparently if you don't have good guys around you it can be quite a pain in the arse.

I tried to recruit some of them yesterday, so you guys must not be paying attention.

Yeah, not paying that much attention, since I managed to do most of my recruiting ahead of time this season. We also have really good people on our team and not much in the way of politics - but I've certainly been on some teams where there's constant problems too.
I'm also committed to never owning a team.

Very good points ... went through a little of that ourselves last season. I'd like to own a team, but don't want to commit to the amount of money I know I'd end up spending on the game.
