Have I started him off right for a pass rush DT? If not, I'll retire him and try to make a DE again. I tried making a DE before but rushed it and retired him, but I took my time with this one. Is he on the right track?

Pretty close to mine, you have a few more SP, I am guessing 6 into str with your custom equip? Here is mine without custom gear.

Strength: 51 Blocking: 10.6
Speed: 10.6 Tackling: 17
Agility: 21 Throwing: 8
Jumping: 9 Catching: 8
Stamina: 12.83 Carrying: 8
Vision: 10.6 Kicking: 8
Confidence: 10.6 Punting: 9

Well he is level 7 now. I joined a new expansion team and there is no more training this season so I boosted to stay competitive. Here he is:

Strength: 60.66 Blocking: 11.2
Speed: 11.2 Tackling: 18.01
Agility: 38.01 Throwing: 8
Jumping: 9 Catching: 8
Stamina: 15 Carrying: 8
Vision: 11.2 Kicking: 9
Confidence: 11.2 Punting: 9

Can someone please tell me where to go from here? I do not wanna build this guy wrong. I've seen a ton of builds with 0 sacks every season, and if I don't have at least 1 season with at least 3 credible sacks, then I'll probably retire him. I know they are not stat whores but I don't wanna make a run stuffer, I want a pass rusher.

All equipment including custom is in strength. I was thinking about using the next 10 points to get agility to soft cap while training speed to 15. I'll add 5 in speed to get it to 20. I'll add my level 8 equipment all to strength and I should have around 64/65 strength, 48 agility, and 20 speed by level 10. That seem like a good start? What should I change?

you know next season, bort said he will make minor skills more important so what you have going right now wont be that effective. you might want to slow down on the str to balance out the other skills

Well the strength is only from 3 levels. I trained it to 23, put 15 at the beginning, and the 10 from getting to level 3. I know it might sound weird, but I'm gonna get blocking up as well along with my agility, strength, and speed. Admins have said that it helps shed blocks. Maybe not a lot, but it does, and getting at a good level might gimme that extra edge. I'm takin a huge risk though, but I guess I'll have to find out if it works.

yea blocking will be more important, along with tackling and AGI will get a major boost.

I'm willing to guess that any DEs that get a lot of sacks have at least trained there blocking to somewhere in the 20s. I'm gonna get my agility to 48, stamina, speed, and tackling to 20, and train blocking to 15 and then get it to 30. I guess it could count as an experiment, but if I don't notice any difference in the replays, then I wasted my time and it'll take me longer to get him built right.

ive got a couple successful DT, I think you're on the right track. I would concentrate on Strength, Agility, and speed. In that order. Then vision, confidence, and tackling. Focus on the Pass Rush tree also. Hope this helps.

6 sacks against a gutted team doesn't count. 2 in Big sack?

take those 6 away then, he has 10. I know your DE is all world Voltron, but we're talking about DT here.

PS. I really thought we'd meet you guys in the championship game.
