I didn't think you could plunder a team's coffers like that? I distinctly remember Bort going after someone who renegotiated all his players contracts and then returned the team with not much cash.

I don't think they had that much cash left. I think he just shortened contracts. Sucks for the next owner. I think Bort will restock the teams cash a bit though.

Um they ended up with more cash than TJ did. I think we finished the season with about 600k. They still have enough for stadium upgrades, and they probably still have a loan option.

I don't remember what the cash situation was, but the Owner redid everyone's deal to end on day 40 of last season. I definitely didn't get a bonus when he redid my deal. The owner was a good guy and I highly doubt he would do something like that.

They do have 1.2Mil and 4 stadium expansions done already.

It is possible that he accidentally let the contracts expire. In which case I don't think he can resign them for 20 days. So it may not be intentional, and he may be kicking himself right now.

I know that I almost let about half of my teams contracts run out. I still have 3 players that need to accept their contracts before 4th season day 1.

He announced what was happening. He was selling the team and all the players were going to test the free agent market etc etc...

It's pretty clear nothing fishy happened here. 1.2 mil for a run of the mill BBB team isn't a financial disaster.

Yeah, as long as he didn't pay out all their money there isn't really a problem.

Yeah, he gave us the heads up. I would love to adopt a team in a league like this rather than a new one with level caps.

My team had more money then 1.2m at the time i sent out the contracts, Even the new contracts that ended on day 40, i paid all players min, and it took a nightly hit for a few nights and dropped to 1.2m, I know its not right and all, but had to be fair to my players above all, and fact is 1.2m is almost triple what an owner of a new teams starts with.

Always sad to see a team get gutted. They were a pretty decent squad.

It is sad but we are not going to take it easy on them week 1. No one took it easy on us.

VERY true! You guys will do what we did last season. I think you guys will surprise some people. Let's improve on last season and earn some more respect.
