How high should a power back get his carrying? Currently slow building one and was wondering if its worth soft capping since it will help break tackles next season.

We don't really know yet.

We know 30 as a good benchmark, but I'd stick with strength until we have more info (just my take), as I doubt carrying will have the effect strength does on breaking tackles.

Yeah, I was planning on getting strength to ~60 first regardless. Just wondering what stat comes second.

I have noticed 60 str/30 carry to be fumble prone.

The starting back on my team has 30+ carry and he had fumbling issues.

9, Shawn BEAST is the actual starter. He's just lined up at FB because the OC is playing around with the depth chart during the srimmages.

I have less than 30 and had i think only 2 fumbles the season

I think it depends on what players are tackling you. If they are higher level with higher strength and tackling you will probably fumble more

I think cover up also helps a lot more then just carry.

Don't forget with the new tackling wrap up will cause even less fumbles. So if people stay on wrap up these changes could help RBs.

I have over 60 str and 35 carrying, yet last year I had 8 fumbles in the 1st 11 games.

A lot of people were complaining about fumbling at that time.

Then, suddenly I didn't fumble for the rest of the season (9 games)

What stat raised from that time? Confidence?

I've suspected that a lot of the fumble woes were in part to big hits/growls wearing down the runners morale and causing fumbles.

nothing raised a great amount. I did however put 2 more in Wrap Up, going from 3-5.

Confidence is ~28. Most of my fumbles came from lower level DE, which was odd.

I do like your idea of soft capping carrying. The only thing being is we aren't quite sure on how much it actually adds into breaking tackles.

Yeah. It'll be a while before I truly consider it. Just soft capped strength. Training carrying currently. Then I'll train Speed or Agility. Going to take strength to the 60 spot next.
