Hmmm...looks like they are a CPU team now. I wonder which lucky owner will get thrown into USA Pro...

Wow. I'm ON the Skyhawks, and just found out through this thread. Nobody on the team gave any indication that this was going to happen. I had a great relationship with the owner and one of the GM's who was my GM in SA Pro as well.

Does anyone know how this will work? I'm under contract through Season 5, day 1, but I don't want to play on this team anymore if they just sold it back. Will someone have to trade for me or can I ask for a release since it was sold back?

I think you have to honor your contract unless the new owner is nice enough to release you but don't quote me on that.

If the owner didn't send you an expiring contract, you will have to beg/plead for the new owner to let you go, either via release or trade. Why not give the new guy a chance first, though? He might be a great guy and also a great owner to play for... never know if you don't give him a chance.

Yeah, CTap has a good point...the last thing we need in USA Pro is a new gutted team considering the promotion/relegation is actually starting to make USA Pro look good from top to bottom.

I totally agree with you guys, but I'm not holding my breath. I have a feeling people will jump ship like crazy, and I don't want to be a Level 24 WR with a crap QB and a crap line.

I guess we'll see. I'm not demanding a release yet, but I just sat through 1 rebuild, and I'd kind of like to join a stable team for a change.

I don't think anyone would blame you if you jumped ship but you guys were one spot away from making the playoffs and it would be a shame to see a 7-9 team get gutted and go 0-16.

I don't want to see another USA Pro team gutted. We have a lot of quality talent moving up from the AAA, and almost every team is competitive at this point.

Believe me we all understand where you are coming from... hopefully things work out for you one way or another.

We're a West team and we were gutted once. Do you really wish that on our Conference?

Hehe My poor WR was starting at WR, CB, KR, PR, and was also on the KOS and KRS teams (yea, the second doesn't make a bit of sense with him as returner but whatever)... ahh, the good ole days.

Rumor is that our owner just forgot to renew his ownership...and that it was a complete mistake. Now people on the team are getting upset and wanting out, etc. I'm sitting tight for now...we'll see what happens as the saga unfolds.

Yup. Terps84 (owner) said that he forgot to renew his ownership. I asked him if he had PM'ed a mod about it, and he said yeah, but that he's not sure how much can be done since there are so many people wanting a team.

I'm going to stick it out with Sticky Nick to at least meet the new owner, but then most likely I'll be asking for a trade or release.

I would think Bort would allow the owner to re-up if he really wants to. Seems reasonable to me.
