Spider-man started a trend of comic-book movies killing off villains.
didnt the first batman kill off the joker?
He did, but after that I believe they shied away from outright killing of villains and just started stacking them up in Arkham. I don't remember Batman Returns all that much though. But really, up until Spider-man most Superhero Movies just avoided killing off the villains. Though I'm still pissed that they killed off Venom in SM3. What a shitty way to treat one of the most iconic Spider-man villains of the 90s.

Only in the movie anyway. It's always been that way in the comics.
Jiddy Fructose thinks, a long long time ago, he had the harder-bound comic that TundaKlap's avatar picture is from...Even had the "unique" one...Forgets the whole palabra about it...but there was some difference in the color of something or some such...He had one...but that was some time ago...

The Killing Joke is the comic, I have the hard-bound of it.
Edit: I think the hard-bound is the "Deluxe Edition" since it has concept art and everything in it. So that may be what you're thinking of.
