Now i know this game is a work in progress.

But look at the game between the Looters and Knights.
Look at the last 2 possesions.

We are down 2...get a first down on the 12 yard line with 33 seconds left....so all we need is to make a Fg and we win.

We apparntley run a hurry up FG on 1rst down and make it...the Knights then run 7 plays in less than 30 seconds. and kick a game winnig FG

Knights are a good team. I would say we go 5-5 if we play 10 games.... but that Sim hurts.

I hate how the game is really safe with the FG's and will kick them way before they need to be kicked. I have seen it in some of our games as well, we kicked a game tying field goal against Yancy on 1st down with 38 seconds left on the 16.5 when we could of took shots at the endzone. Yea it's defiantly not perfect yet.

I couldn't agree with you more and I was the so-called beneficiary of the sim's caprices - at least in this game. (I got burned twice before by something very much like this). The fact is, and I've said this since I joined GLB, that the end-game mechanics of this simulation is probably the worst part of the game right now. I hope the offensive AI fixes most of this, but to me it's like the coders throwing up their hands with the endgame logic and forcing the owners and GMs to provide bit-by-bit instruction. I can't imagine how it would be so difficult to have a QB throw sideline passes, run the clock down wisely and use timeouts, but apparently programming that is tougher than it looks.

dont complain about the sim

everyone has lost games by very short margins; and upon looking at the game-sim, wondered why on earth a different play wasn't run at a certain critical situation.

the fact is, the Sim isn't perfect. it won't be perfect for awhile. but everyone else is playing using that same sim; so it remains fair.

go through your schedule, and look at how many close games you won out in. it evens out.

7 plays in 30 seconds for a game winning field goal is kinda realistic though. I mean..Dallas came back the same way and beat Buffalo in like...20 or less. It happnes. Good close games like that are nice to watch though!

The 7 plays in 30 seconds wasnt my major beef....in fact I didnt even really pay it much attention....it didnt seem too crazy.

It was just a nice compliment to our hurry up FG on 1rst down

Most plays take 35 seconds on a running clock

We got a 1rst down on the 12yard line with 56 seconds left...the tackle was made in bounds so it's:

1rst and 10 from the 12 yard line
Down 2 points
00:56 left...Clock's running

Being realistic, not expecting any shots at a TD and completly agreeing with the descion to kick the FG, we should just let the clock tick down and kick the FG....should be anywhere from 21-26 seconds left when we kickoff. Based on plays taking 35 seconds when there's a running clock.
56-35=21

My beef was that we ran a hurry up FG.

If the time had stayed true Philly would of had about a 55 yard FG attempt with like a second left.

Man thanks for opening this wound. I'm mad and cant sleep now

They only had to go 34 yards to get into FG range. I agree that the cpu should have run a couple of plays before kicking but 34 yards in 31 seconds is pretty easy to do.
