So, I felt we should have a thread to discuss the game that will determine the league champion this season.

Seamen clearly have the advantage of an extra level or two, on average. Phuket has the advantage of being way cooler, I guess. Also a way better name.

Phuket came within 6 of the Seamen way back in Week 4. It was Phuket's only loss, and the Seamen's closest game. But the Seamens' regular-season victory may be offset slightly by last week's results: Phuket turned in a dominant performance against a very good New England team, while the Seamen had to get very lucky to win by 15 over the lower-seeded Marauders.

My guess: Seamen 27, Phuket 17

I can't wait for Zeta to win, because then I'd be waiting for a really long time.

Yeah, I'm not seeing it. Apart from one pick at midfield to set up a touchdown, the rest of the game was a grind-it-out field goal fest. That was a clean win, and while Bangkok was never totally in danger they never totally put away Singapore either.

I would have to agree.

4 FFum, 3 recovered. I should clarify, though, that I don't think you were lucky to win but were lucky to win by as much as you won by. Changing some fumble recoveries could easily have produced a swing of a score or two. I should have just said that the game was much closer than the score indicates.

Technically if we utilized our other alternative gameplan (which I won't reveal) then we would have had a greater chance of capitalizing on our scoring drives (instead of kicking a bunch of FGs) and the game would have been a blown out. Even though that was the case, we had lots of scoring opportunities than Singapore, and I'm sure they can agree with that statement, as well.

Besides, I wouldn't call YOUR game 'dominating', on any level. Big whoop, you ran all over NE. Everyone knows that they can't stop/defend qualified running backs. It's the truth. They know it; I know it. Look at their LB's missed tackles...

It won't be that easy versus us.

It was a miscalculation from our DC on those mistackles. Majority of our defensive players had their tackling style on Power, and that was a bad mistake on our part. O'well we can't point any fingers at anyone after the game was lost. Good job Phukets! Now go sink their ship.

Are these the sort of excuses we can expect when Zeta beats Alpha? Notice you dont hear that sort of thing from Zeta winners or losers.

I was actually rooting for you guys. After Seamen beat you BADLY watch how a real team shows you how to beat them.

So you're saying that if they beat us they'll lose next season or something?

There must be some flowchart every owner but me has that shows them the various ways how a loss or a win by less than the expected amount isn't their fault

I'm not allowed to have high expectations in the playoffs?

Wow, who would've thought it'd be Bangkok vs Phuket? Never saw that one.
