i only had 1 missed tackle and it was on a level 22 TE who had very high strength, but i think you need a decent amount of strength and tackling because your not just covering you have to run support too

Some teams don't care if the CB's miss tackles, they'll say that's what safeties are for.

I like it when my CB's make tackles. But of course I'll let my safety rack up tackles for the stat column. Next season though tackling and strength will be alot more important in bringing down ball carriers without wrap-up being so OP.

So is it true for the next season that TACKLING will matter. And that it won't be that easy to just tackle the ball carrier, unless they have a poor CARRYING stat.

I've not put any points into either strenght or tackling on either of my CBs, but used quite a bit of daily training on it. Simply because with my lvl 21 CBs high vision and Super Vision he reacts very quickly to the wide outside runs, and some tackling is needed for that. I will probably even start putting some points into tackling as at 23.9 the daily training is slow. Last season he had 3 TFLs and just 1 missed tackle, whereas this season it was 1 TFL and 7 missed tackles. Now I believe all those tackles were against power backs, or at least running backs, so it wasn't a disaster.
A bit of strength to help break WR blocks is useful too.

On about 20 strength and 28 tackling currently, I made 114 tackles this season, a good deal of them coming from outside runs or covering for when another DB got beat. Since many runs tend to be outside in the league I'm in, tackling and strength do help, but I don't pay any special attention to them.
However, I had two missed tackles in the last scrimmage game, along with 7 other tackles, so yeah.

my level 20 has 29 strength and 28 tackling, only missed one tackle and it was because i was told to put my tackling on medium and the TE who i tried to tackle had like 50 strength.

It looks like tackling is being changed, so maybe it would be a good idea for everyone here to buff up the strength and tackling anyway. Sure, on the outside runs, a safety should be able to come help, or is you slow down the RB enough, a linebacker, but it would be good to stuff the runs early.

your a cb worry about the speed/agil/catching and jumping. If you do that well enough, you wont need to worry about tackling and strength!!!

Can't intercept them all. Also getting the strength up, will help the CB to wrestle the ball out of a WR's hands.
I do agree that speed, agility, jumping, and catching are the most important attributes to put SP into.

Leave the tackling for the fat boys. I don't do that whole "tackling" thing. Get the pick or go home.
