We have a lot of great games. There could easily be a lot of upsets in the league. I think most teams have now boosted. The regular season is out the door as anything can happen in the playoffs.
Western Conference
Chicago Inferno at Honolulu Beach Boys
The Inferno were able to burn bright enough this season to earn a playoff birth. They have been very inconsistent this season. In the first game, Honolulu won 44-10. Honolulu has steamrolled the entire Western Conference. Only a couple teams have come within 20 points of them. Look for them to continue their quest for the title game.
Beach Boys, 44-7
Eugene SLUGs at Mighty Chihuahuas
The Slugs have been the hottest team in the West. They are fresh off a win against the Blaze. The Chihuahuas have played solid all season. In the season, the Chihuahuas won the game 13-7. Last season the 4th seed lost in both conferences first round. The Slugs aren't afraid of the dog's bark. Look for them to punt the taco bell dog into the neighbors yard and keep the streak alive.
Slugs, 26-17
Long Beach Dub All-Stars at Timpanogos Thunder
Since losing to the Beach Boys, Thunder has given up 16 points in 7 games. They also beat Long Beach 23-14 earlier this season. Long Beach is happy to be in the playoffs after having their birth stolen last season. They drew a tough opponent for the first round. Look for Thunders defense to continue to dominate as they run away with this one.
Thunder, 27-7
Possum Trot Plague at Tana River Ewoks
The Plague have been solid all season. They played the Ewoks close in a 24-20 loss during the season. They are looking for the upset. The Ewoks continue to surprise some people as they win. This game will be another nail biter. Personally, I'm nervous.
Ewoks, 21-17
Eastern Conference
10-Yard Fight at Tecmo All Stars
The Fight clawed their way into the playoffs. Their reward, play the league favorites. In their first game, Tecmo won 22-10. Look for Tecmo's defense to clamp down this game.
All Stars, 42-3
Crescent City Saints at Saint Paul Vulcans
The Vulcans have been good all season. The Saints started slow but have been on fire lately. In the first game of the season, the Saints won a close game 31-24. The Vulcans have adjusted from that game and are at home. The game will be tight, but it is hard to pick against the Saints here. Look for both 4 seeds to get knocked out first round again.
Saints, 27-22
Philadelphia Pigeons at New Jersey Blaze
The Blaze have had a tremendous season. The did finish it on the wrong foot though. Eugene was able to pull the upset. Can the flying rats use that game to do the same? In their first match, the Blaze won 23-16. The are going to be on fire as they get revenge for last game's loss.
Blaze, 30-10
FC Hezbollah at Awesomeville Bearphins
On paper this is a great match-up. The first time these two teams played, Awesomeville walked away with an easy victory. A few weeks ago Hezbollah stumbled against the Fight. If they can't beat the Fight, they can't beat the Bearphins.
Bearphins, 37-17
