They have a horrible tyrant owner who likes to pat himself on the back and dosent keep his promises. For the record I never expected to start or play at all on this franchise.

1.) he can't release you now anyway (learn the rules)
2.) why would he throw money down the drain and release you when he has a tradeable asset?
3.) if he wants to make an example of you for being an asshole (I'm not sure if this is true or not), but if it is, then you did something to deserve it.
Why not be a good little employee and play out the year and keep your mouth shut and then POLITELY ask to be traded since you aren't getting any playing time.
There is no reason in the world why an owner wouldn't do this if you weren't playing.
You have no right to demand anything. He has a contract for your services to do as he pleases. Try the "nice" route next time. It works much better.

and yes, I have such a demanding player on my team.
He did the same thing (demand a release after the trade deadline). Then he tried to PM everyone on my team with "incriminating info" which turned out to be my myspace page (public at the time). When that didn't work he made a shitty little avatar to try to force me to shorten his contract to end at the end of the year.
Now he is banned (5 days for the avatar) and going to be sitting out til dy 4 of season 5. Money means nothing to me. My the time he is off my bench, he will have lost at least 3-4 levels by being a pompous jackass instead of just asking nicely.
