It is difficult to predict scores in intra-conference match-ups. I'll keep track of which conference wins the overall.
Seattle Buffalos at 10-Yard Fight
The Fight have been my dark horse for the past 4 games. They have really come on to end the season. One more game secures their playoff birth. Luckily for them, they drew Seattle. Seattle hasn't been able to stop any teams lately. They won't be able to stop the Fight either.
Fight, 37-3
East +1
Minnesota Mountain Lions at New Jersey FalCoons
Minnesota has risen above the lowest tier teams in the West. They have been competitive in games, but are missing something to get them over the hump and compete with some of the better teams. The FalCoons are missing more, mostly points. Look for them to drop another. At least they beat Sheffield.
Mountain Lions, 27-7
Even
FC Hezbollah at Montana Crow
The Crow have a huge following. Probably the biggest for a team with a 33 game losing streak. If some of the fans could slip out onto the field wearing their Crow jerseys they would fair better.
Hezbollah, 44-3
East +1
Philadelphia Pigeons at Mighty Chihuahuas
These teams are only two games apart according to their records. The Pigeons have certainly improved from last season. The Chihuahuas have quietly made a lot of noise since joining the league. They have a quality team and will showcase it in this game.
Chihuahuas, 27-13
Even
Tampa Bay Krakens at Honolulu Beach Boys
This does not look to be a favorable match-up for the Krakens. Another source from the Eastern conference informed me this will be a lot closer game then I was predicting. We'll see who is right, but I think the Beach Boys take this one easily and completely kill the Krakens playoff hopes.
Beach Boys, 34-3
West +1
Timpanogos Thunder at Sheffield Sabres
The Thunder get a favorable match-up here. Look for them to run away with this game literally. This should lock up the league rushing title for them. Will all that running keep the score under 100?
Thunder, 83-0
West +2
New Orleans Night Trippers at Tana River Ewoks
The Night Trippers looked to have a lot of potential when the season started. It is hard to tell exactly when things fell apart. They started 3-1, but haven't won a game since. The Ewoks have the 3rd longest win streak in the league. Look for the trends to continue.
Ewoks, 37-0
West +3
Long Beach Dub All-Stars at Bonita Beef Supreme
Long Beach has the talent. Many projected them to be a top 4 team in the West. They are still going to the playoffs. Bonita was up and down this season. They weren't able to put many wins together in a row. Look for them to challenge for a playoff spot next season.
Dub All-Stars, 23-13
West +4
Awesomeville Bearphins at Lakewood Lancers
Awesomeville had a rough game, Lakewood had a rough season. Look for the Bearphins to bounce back and take out some frustration. The Lancers have only been in double digits twice this season. Don't look for it to happen here.
Bearphins, 62-0
West +3
Possum Trot Plague at Ole Miss Rebels
The Plague have really improved this season. They are playing quality football. Most of their losses have been close. The Rebels are still rebuilding and are improving. It will take more time, but they will work their way up the East ladder. They don't have enough to stop the Plague in this game.
Plague, 37-7
West +4
Crescent City Saints at Dallas Hitmen
Dallas has continued to struggle. They have now lost 2 straight. Until they can find an offensive identity, I don't see this turning around. The Saints are one of the hottest teams in the league. They have won 7 and are looking to march into the playoffs and make some noise.
Saints, 27-6
West +3
Houston Toxins at Tecmo All Stars
Tecmo has played well all season, but lately they have started to completely dominate their opponents. Houston got the toughest draw of the league with this game. It always hurts to look at a team that dominates you in almost every position. It is also a good test to learn where you want to be.
All Stars, 56-0
West +2
Ottawa Outbreak at Chicago Inferno
Ottawa has no bigger fans than Los Angeles. The Express are hoping the Inferno flame dies out this game. The match-up is good on paper. Ottawa has improved but they still need to get over the hump. Chicago plays their best up against the wall. Look for the Inferno to burn bright on their way into the playoffs.
Inferno, 17-9
West +3
Virginia George Washingtons at Buffalo Chips
These teams don't have much to play for, but this is a really good match-up. I think this will be a close game. Virginia, formerly Las Vegas, formerly Spokane likes to keep people on their toes. They have improved this season. Buffalo looked like they could be an early contender, but have now lost 4 in a row.
George Washingtons, 13-10
West +4
Los Angeles Express at Saint Paul Vulcans
This will be one of the best match-ups of intra-conference play. The Vulcans have become one of the top teams in the East during their first season in the league. The Express was expected to be a top team in the West. Look for the sim to screw the Express out of one more game.
Vulcans, 20-10
West +3
New Jersey Blaze at Eugene SLUGs
This will be a tough game. You all know I love the Slugs but the Blaze have been hot this season. I could see this game coming down to the wire. The Blaze have won close games all season. The Slugs haven't been as lucky. If the Slugs kicker is on his game, this could turn out differently. I wouldn't be surprised by an upset.
Blaze, 21-20
West +2
