Anyone think having a pro bowl is a good idea? Something like this:

Who in the BBB #2 should be voted to the BBB # 2 Pro Bowl?

It's East vs West so please submit your candidates and the team owners will decide.

So, is the process:
1. Everyone submit candidates
2. Team owners vote based on candidates?

If so, when are candidates due?
When are owner selections due?
One persone per position or one person per standard starting roster (ie 2 WRs)?

Not gonna happen. Tried it last year. This league is full of douchebags who won't get behind an idea like that, they'll only knock it.

What say you, douchebags?

I think that it should be everyone is eligible to submit but the team owners vote and the team owners are not allowed to vote for their own teams players or something like that.

Anyone got a better idea speak now or forever hold your piss.

LOL!

DOH! maybe it would be better to take if offline to the owners themselves?

Actually, a fair way would be to have the owners nominate players (none from their own team) and then vote on an overall roster.

I am not an owner nor a GM but would be glad to give nominations at the end of the regular season

i think this is going to run into difficulty in finding
enough very active owners who are interested enough in spotting
outstanding opposition on replays, rather than just keeping track
of their own players, or perusing the leader boards.

and i, for one, certainly don't watch every play of all
8 (or 16) games per 2 days.

pro bowl rosters are gonna be rough, but perhaps some people
have spotted some great things from a few opposition players
in particular if not just from their own games. so if we
want to do shout-outs, i'll throw out a couple guys who
really impressed me in replays for whatever reason:

lexington's general justice, lb.
http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=238601
this guy's high on the tackle leader board, somewhat due to his
team not being able to stay on o in some games, so i can't quite
claim he's "underrated" in any regard, but he really is all over
the field, especially plugging holes up the middle and making
some plays in the inside backfield. kudos to GJ.

MCD's trevor kidd, de.
http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=308572
this one should be obvious to everyone. he leads the east in
sacks and it's not a fluke. he's the best pass rusher in the
conference for sure.

there are a couple more on my mind but i'd have to dig through
some history to find them again. and there's one guy from our
team i'd put on the list for sure, maybe two, but i won't go
down that road.

oh, and it's a bummer that there's no leaderboard for broken
tackles (or is it eluding me?).

this is what the form in my WE AA#1 league looks like. there is one for each conference..

Rules are simple:

- No voting for players on your own team, that's it

Format is like this:

Offensive Player of the Year:

1)
2)
3)

Defensive Player of the Year:

1)
2)
3)

Special Teamer of the Year:

1)
2)
3)

GM/Owner/Coach of the Year:

1)
2)
3)

And then for the All Zeta team, fill in this with players not on your own team:

Starting offense:

QB:
HB:
FB:
WR1:
WR2:
TE:
OT:
OT:
OG:
OG:
C:

Starting defense:

DE:
DE:
DT:
DT:
OLB:
MLB:
OLB:
CB1:
CB2:
SS:
FS:

Special teams:

K:
P:
KR:
PR:

You can fill out one, both, or neither, up to you. Preferably I'd like to have every team rep do both to get the most accurate sample but do whatever you'd like

I like this. I'll email it tomorrow to each team owner so they can post it in their forums or fill it out themselves.

Let's do this! Other leagues do so why can't we?!

As long as it's not due till after Friday. I will be spending every spare moment I have trying to figure out how to beat the Canton juggernaut.

Don't worry about them, they will be to drunk or hungover to play anyhow. No one has hung on to the #1 spot for very long this year. Go ahead nominate some players, relax and enjoy your victory.
