Warrior General Games

Hey I am a DC for a team (not telling which) and we are planning on running zone next game. We haven't really tried it, so I want to know: what are the best individual tactics for cornerbacks (and safeties) to run a successful zone defense? Opinions are welcome, thanks for all replies.

Also, if you know of any teams that run a successful zone then please provide a link. Gracias

The best tactics for Zone is to not use it. I would wait until advanced tactics come on line next season and you can use different forms of zone.

Exactly, right now there is no cover 2 zone, its all deep zone. So you just get picked apart in the medium passing game.

would you use a limited amount of zone, like 10-15 % just to keep the offense honest.

I wouldn't. But if you think you're out of the playoffs, it doesn't hurt to experiment.

We are IN the playoffs. I was thinking 50% but changed my mind. Although a team I'm on did the same and the opponent (good one too) threw just 40%
