We missed one day after I had no time to create the rankings and there would have been no changes anyway. Today, we see the top 5 stay put, but the next 5 all changed, but nobody fell out. Here ya go!
Rank - Team name - Standings - Synopsis - Change
1. Austin Lumberjacks (13-1) – Another Lumberjack shutout, this time against the Patriots. This was their sixth shutout of the year and two more games to try to make it the lucky 7. Two more games to finish 15-1 and lock up the first seed in the West, it’s just a matter of time. (0)
2. Miami Canes (13-1) – Good win for the Canes against a playoff bound Barracudas. Prevented Key Largo from clinching yet, but with a magic number of 1, K.L. will be in. The Canes have two tough playoff headed teams to face in their last two games with Collinsville and H-Town. (0)
3. Raving Mad Dawgs (12-2) – Made the Thunder look like a small mist or a sprinkle with a dominating win. Raving has just two good challenges on the schedule to finish the season. If the Dawgs can dominate these games, I think they could shock Austin to promotion. (0)
4. New Orleans Golden Kangaroos (12-2) – Got a tough run from the AP Warriors before swooping over the J-Hawks. The ‘Roos have the Tornados up next, followed by the mix and match against the Fresno Jaguars. Both could be close matchups, but N.O. is favored in both. (0)
5. San Marcos Rivermen (11-3) – Two consecutive shutouts help push the Rivermen that much closer to hosting a home playoff game. Buffalo and the revamped Roswell Space Pirates finish off the schedule in one of the easier lineups for the top 10 teams. 13-3 should happen. (0)
6. Dallas Strikers (11-3) – The Strikers have knocked off three good opponents in their most difficult schedule stretch. Legends defeated, Jaguars knocked off and now the Resurrection with a dominating defensive show. Dallas has the Oilers next, and then finishes at the Crows. (+2)
7. Collinsville Pirates (10-4) – Collinsville is in a group with just Miami and Austin of teams with 10 game winning streaks. This from a team that started 0-4. They beat up on two lower level teams for wins 9 and 10, but the next two games are huge, facing Miami and Raving. (+3)
8. Anchorage Maulers (10-4) – The Maulers were able to take care of Tucson in a battle of potential playoff bound teams, but then suffered a shocking upset to the San Diego Blaze. Final games against the Patriots and Tornados give the Maulers a chance to right the ship headed into the playoffs. (-2)
9. H-Town Oilers (10-4) – The strength of H-Town is beginning to be questioned. A weak victory against the Patriots followed up by a poor loss to the Jaguars that are only a playoff bubble team. The schedule doesn’t get easier for the Oilers, facing the Strikers and the Canes to finish the year. (-2)
10. N.H. Hounds (10-4) – Beat the Pimps but not in an impressive fashion but then lost to the Crows who are trying to sneak into the playoffs. They will be in the playoffs, but will need to be certain they turn it around as both the Barracudas and the Blaze can knock off these Hounds. (-1)
