South Bend Red Raiders - The Leviathan
Lost today 27-40 making it real difficult to lock in a playoff spot. They need to win their next two and hope the Syndicate and/or Desert Lions crumble late. South Bend has an easy game coming up against the "mockery" College Station Aggies(no not RayRay's team) and then a gridiron battle in their last game of the season. The Syndicate have two difficult games ahead of them, and could very well lose both. South Bend should bank on this and string off two victories to jump into the playoffs. The Desert Lions play the worst team in their conference next, and being a game ahead of South Bend(and beating them in the regular season) they are basically locked into a playoff birth. Good luck Leviathan, hope you get in!

Record - 7-7

------------------------------------------------

Quahog Drunken Clams - kakeow
The Clams are now part of the USAORG, under the team name Kamikazes. They are not doing too bad. They are currently 9th and one game out of a playoff birth. They do have a tough road ahead though. Three teams are a game ahead of them, but one of those teams(Shanghai Smoke) remains on their schedule. Pulling off that victory should be the top priority, as the Smoke have the Hitmen(12-1) and Pandas(10-3) as their other two remaining games and could lose both... giving the Clams an easy road to the playoffs.

Record - 7-6

----------------------------------------------------

Thundertown Brawlers - xfrozensoulsx
Ahh, our good friend frozen. Not much to say... he's 3-10 and out of playoff contention. To make things worse, he has the best team in his conference(Grizzlies 13-0) coming up.

Record - 3-10

------------------------------------------------------

College Station Aggies - RayRay99
RayRay still has a chance, though slim. The Jagged Shouls are the only team that could be knocked out of the playoffs. RayRay would need to win his next three games to guarantee this. His schedule: Fins(12-1), Shoals(8-5), and Predators(1-12). However, he could win two and still advance. That is assuming he beats Shoals and Predators AND the Shoals lose both remaining games on top of the matchup with the Aggies. Shoals Schedule: Garupies(9-4), Aggies(6-7), and Syndicate(3-10). As you see, chances are slim, but I wish RayRay and the Aggies the best of luck on their playoff bid.

Record - 6-7

------------------------------------------------------

Blacksburg Gobblers - VTBuc
The former Champs! They are in the best position of all five teams. They are vying for two playoff spots with the Slayers and the Hitmen(all three 8-6). However, they have beaten the Hitmen already... Slayers are their next game. Following that is a tough game against the Snipers(10-3-1). If they beat the Slayers, they are guaranteed a birth. The Slayers final game does not matter, as they clinch with a win against Blacksburg. Now, let's look at the Hitmen. Hitmen have lost to both Slayers and Gobblers... so they are in a bad spot. They need both team to lose one game and then they need to win both of their games. And guess who theyy play... that's right South Bend! How bout them apples? Anyhow it is the Nightmare(3-11) and South Bend (7-7). The playoff picture for USA A#3 could see both South Bend AND Blacksburg... or it could see neither. This single game Hitmen vs Red Raiders is going to play a HUGE roll for both clubs.

Record - 8-6

Who would have thought that it ends like this 2 games before the regular season ends. I remember the Gobblers being picked as probably the worst team ever (in GLB) being in the playoffs and end up winning it. I really love seing the Brawlers suck in their League. In the end it shows you that it's better to run your mouth if you can back it up.

Good luck to the Red Raiders (not only because a win against the Hitmen will help us, but both teams in the playoffs will show that BBB#5 is a very good league).

We did end up winning our game (Gobblers) and so we are on our way to the playoffs and we're already assured of a better record than we had last season in this league (which is odd and I'm not really sure how that works) as we're already 9-6 with a winnable last game.

Brawlers are under new management now. I guess the old mgmt used to brag alot or something?

Its been a rough time rebuilding but I think you'll see the team turned around next season. Atleast I hope so. BBB#5 is a very tough league!

This post is talking about the Thundertown Brawlers Spedro. You might not have been here last season to see how the owner made an ass of himself last year.

FYI, the Gobblers pulled a minor upset today in beating the #4 team from the western conference 25-7. We finished up 10-6 and start the playoffs as the #7 seed. We hope to represent the BBB #5 well in this season's playoffs and make another run for the championship!!

Good luck to all those in the playoffs!!

The Aggies struggled down the stretch, but still finished 7-9. Not too bad considering we jumped the most (BBB to AA). The running game nerfing didn't help matters, nor the fact that we still haven't rebounded from the chemistry debacle last season. I am looking forward to next season with more offensive playcalling options and more chemistry, hopefully we can show them what we are really made of

Thanks...it was so close but we were pretty well outleveled in that one. We had 2 close games against that team, the first one we were up going into the 4th quarter and this one they kicked that FG with under 20 seconds left which hurts...but at least we proved we belong up here and hopefully can be more of a force next season rather than just an "upset" type team.
