These are all replays that show how vision pays. I see a TON of threads in here saying that power backs don't need vision because they just run straight. I think that's a lie. I run on power running and have 84 broken tackles this year. I feel like vision helps a power back decide whether he wants to try and run over a CB or a LB...and he'll correctly pick the CB since he's weaker.

I'm not trying to toot my own horn, just trying to give some insight. The point of a power back is to break tackles...but why not break those tackles 5 yards downfield instead of at the LOS?

Just to be devil's advocate, you're posting runs by a 23-level RB with a good OL against level 12-18 defenders. As long as the builder hasn't stashed all his skill points in a vault for next Christmas, he should be running rough shot over those defenses.

Here's one in particular:

If that LB who wet his pants while your level 23 RB danced wasn't this guy:

But instead this guy:

Your RB would have danced his way into a 2 yard loss when all he had to do was run right between the grand canyon hole between the center and right tackle.

IMO, vision over 30 hurts higher level backs (esp power backs). Everyone is so fast once you hit 17+ that dancing near the hole just costs you yards. Pick a hole, hit it quick and hope you can make someone miss. If you pause to choose the best one, 2 LBs from the other side will be there and make the decision for you.

IMO, strength/speed, agility, stamina, carrying and certain SAs are more important for RBs than vision. But, it's just one man's thoughts, so take it for what you will.

Saying vision "helps" is kind of a duh statement. Of course it will "help," but it definitely isn't important.

So how high is your vision? How does it compare to your other skills and SA's? It's hard to know if vision was the main factor in those runs without knowing what your other attributes look like.

Great runs though.

Of course vision helps. Is it something power backs should put lots of poitns into? Up to you really.

My vision is the 40s. It isn't far behind my other attributes. I figure it's a better investment to put those points into vision than it is to go beyond the soft cap for strength.

You aren't helping vision's cause. I checked out your games against competitive teams and your performance was terribly unimpressive. I think I'll stick with sub 40 vision.

Trust me, for a power back, vision is only good when it helps you follow your blocker. Any higher and you're definitely completely wasting your SP.

Power backs don't need great vision as long as you don't make him too much faster than his lead blocker.

Err...show me ANY RB who has consistently great performances against top tier teams.

Check out Ares408 RB, Larry Smith. He's on my team and he does pretty well every week in USA AAA#1. He almost has a 1000 more yards then the next RB in the league.

My lv.18 was 3rd string all season until unseating the #2 RB, a Lv.20.

I can't see spending no points on Vision anytime soon....I'd rather spend them in Ag/Sp......shit, I think I'd rather spend them on PUNTING!

I think it helps when your WR has enough of a level advantage that he can pancake defenders left and right.
