Since the guys in the west are to busy to deal with handling the east nominations, and no one else has stepped up, guess I will. So, come one come all.

Here is the format for your nominations, please follow this to the T, it makes it a lot easier to format the complete ballot. You can nominate any player you like, your own or someone elses, as long as he (or her) is in the east.

Player Name
Position
Team Name
Applicable stats
Player Link

I will post a few of my guys here to show an example of how I want it laid out. Thanks!

Sounds good in theory, but keep in mind we barely got enough nominations league wide last year. Of the 16 teams in the east, we have maybe, what 6 or so whos owners actually represent on these forums?

Word.

Perhaps 6 -- 3 from offense, 3 from defense?

So the worst team in the conference deserves to have the same number of players for Pro-Bowl consideration as the best team?

The balancing idea is good but it needs a little modification. I say all the players that are on the conference leaders list in at least one GOOD category (obviously being a leader in fumbles isn't going to make you a Pro Bowl nominee by itself) are automatically nominated for Pro Bowl consideration and then each team gets an allowance of players that aren't on the conference leaders list to be nominated in addition to any conference leaders that were automatically nominated.

Yes, I do realize that the conference leader board is in no way a perfect representation of what player are the best, especially on defense since the best defenses stay off the field by forcing punts. However at least this way though all the top statistical performers will be on the ballot and then players whose contributions are less visible but equally or more important can be nominated too if their teams think they deserve it.

The only stats I can see that being a real problem with are passing yards since a lot of really bad QBs make the top 10 list in a 16 team conference and total tackles since the worst defenses get the most tackles, but then again those players still probably represent some of the best talent on bad teams and so should probably be nominated by their teams anyway.

The Bandits have one of the top 2 producing QBs, the #2 rusher and the #1 WR. That would mean that no one else on our entire offense could be eligible no matter what their season stats were if we nominated those players under a 6 players per team system. Hypothetically if we had a really great lineman or FB does he not get nominated because he did his job TOO well and let his skill players put up good numbers? Or do we instead say a conference/league leader is not eligible for the Pro Bowl because his line was good and was nominated?

There are a lot of ways to measure how 'good' a player is (ie review the game film) but a lot of it would be really painstaking and not worth the time. There are also a number of really stupid stats that are really the only way to determine how good somebody is easily. ie pancakes with OLine. So since there is no real easy way to determine who really is best in a quick and easy fashion then maybe its best to just do it all statistically. This is just for fun anyway so who gives a crap. If I owned the Turtles, I wouldn't even submit Prowl Bowl nominations since I think its kinda foolish due to the lack of knowing who truly is the best.
