Seriously???

This is pissing me off. We get 7 yards rushing. Our QB throws an int or two a game. Our lvl 21 WR drops 3 passes.

Our backup comes in and moves the damn ball down the field like gangbusters against their starters, and he's a friggin lvl 10 QB with an average build.

I don't get it; I just don't see how we get shut out week after week.

This is seriously making me question whether or not I want to continue with this stupid ass game.

Why bother? I watch the opponent's games, I look at the scripts, I gameplan for their weaknesses, and we either get 7 yards rushing or throw 5 fuggin interceptions.

This game is BS.

A couple of things to check, besides the obvious - outmached teams.

1) crappy player advanced tactics
2) crappy player builds
3) poor strategies
4) poor energy subbing tactics

Stahu, I completely feel your frustration. Last year we were horrible (Martha's Vineyard). We were getting blown out by teams that we were better than on paper! I think there are still aspects of this game that is complete BS, but we are starting to improve and have already tripled our wins from last season.

The key to success is to make sure that your players are a tight-knit group of folks that will do anything and everything to stay positive and dedicated to this. Aricpelt suffered some frustration as a kicker who didn't get much action last season on our team. We were 0-15 before we won our first game. We are playing MUCH better now. It seems that team chemistry is more important this season than it was last season. Our guys are actually enjoying this now that we're more competitive. I certainly wish you the best (except when you're facing us, of course).

Friendly banter on your team's private forum is a good idea also!
Sharing opinions over stats and games. Asking each other advice about how to "build" your player!

I couldn't agree more! I think having a very active team forum helps everyone interact better and get to know each other. It builds team unity. I make sure to try and start a new thread every day. It keeps conversation going. I have always encourage advice on anything from any of my players. Just because I'm a team owner doesn't mean I'm the best football mind too. This was new to all of us at one time. I've even learned from some people in this league and other leagues. I guarantee that the Colorado Mustangs would have a better record in any other BBB League. I'd be willing to bet that this league is the toughest BBB League out there. You just have to keep everyone positively motivated. It's not easy but it's no fun if there's not a challenge.

I've had the GM's from last year's BBB 15 champions look at our team; they said I had some good builds.

I've had a well respected guy from BBB 16 look at our team as a temp GM, and he only suggested two modifications to players; which were fairly minor.

I've gotten and used the scripts that show rushing/passing tendencies; I use the last 3 in gameplanning.

I've had team owners who play on my team tell me that we have some really good builds, and they can't figure out why we're losing.

Our subbing tactics don't matter; I could see that being an option if we scored early but nothing later in games; we score nothing when anyone is in the game.

Our kicker today, who's missed one (ONE!) field goal from 53 yards this season missed two, one inside of 25 or so yards.

I'm about ready to gut this team; this is stupid.

Here's a PM I sent to Thorn requesting they look at our team morale:

Colorado Mustangs BBB 16 have won twice this year; on other teams I play on with similar records, there is a noticeable bump in team/player morale when that team wins.

This past game we won, and morale for the team dropped again. This has happened twice now; I figured the first time it was some sort of momentum type of deal, but it doesn't jive with the other teams I've seen.

Can you please take a look at this and see if maybe we need an adjustment?

Thank you,

Stahu Miguel
owner, Colorado Mustangs

So now team morale can go down when you win??? Seriously???

This game is getting stupid.

My board is active; I've got guys who will walk through a wall for this team; I have two inactives (and one is because of the holiday); I have an 85% check in rate for guys telling me they've updated their advanced game tactics for each game; those that I don't hear from are usually subs...

I tell you what I'll do. You guys can make my gameplan for the next game.

Hell, I'll let Tallahassee make the gameplan if they want.

That's fairly concerning... I'd rather not see the Mustangs fall any farther from grace.

You've had some tough close losses against decent teams- its not like you are doing that poorly, just had a bit of bad luck. Someone has to lose those games. Lots more owners are working hard than ones that aren't, so some of the good ones still have to lose. You have a lot of tough teams in your league. Unfortunately, relegation usually helps out some, but New Jersey just made it even tougher to succeed. Set modest goals, and try to improve. I haven't seen any obvious games where you lost that you shouldn't have- although a few of the losses could have been wins. Perhaps next season you'll have the ball bounce your way in a few of those and you can win.

Man somethings it the cards your dealt

last season we couldn't buy a win. Losing games by big amounts, and had extreme problems scoring. But one thing we learned from Pro Teams or other gms is that it takes alot of work and you need to find people that fit your system. If your a Zone Defence than get Cbs that play zone, If your man get man coverage players. Are you going to be a running team or Passing team get players that are good for that.

Its alot of work and there are going to be tough times before good times, Its just like that. In real life or games. Great Example from what i heard is Las Vegas. Last year they had 1 freakin win. But now going to and more than likey having a perfect season before they choke against the nighthawks in playoffs

This year we have a lot, last year we had a lot of close losses. Just have to be lucky sometimes.
