This is my build now at level 7:

Strength: 9 Blocking: 10
Speed: 50.99 Tackling: 9
Agility: 14.99 Throwing: 10
Jumping: 12.99 Catching: 21.71
Stamina: 18.35 Carrying: 13
Vision: 12.99 Kicking: 8
Confidence: 13 Punting: 9

0-0-0-0-0
6-0-0-0-0

Would this look good at level 16?:

Strength: 9 Blocking: 10
Speed: 66 Tackling: 9
Agility: 30 Throwing: 10
Jumping: 12.99 Catching: 27
Stamina: 25 Carrying: 13
Vision: 12.99 Kicking: 8
Confidence: 13 Punting: 9

0-0-0-0-0
7-1-1-1-1

Note:The level 16 build does not include the daily training or the decimal additions for leveling up. It's just adding up the level 8 and 16 equipment (all speed) and all the SP I would have spent throughout the levels.

He is also suppose to be a 100% pure speedster.

Your problem will be this:

You will have a small catching zone, balls will fly over your head, and you wont be able to see for the life of you.

Good news is you will be running passed a lot of guys.

That said I'd try and get jump/vision to around 25 at least, and catching to maybe 35.

I would say if you all this time split your training between catching and vision it would def. help you out a lot . but I would also say , with the new season 4 changes I would maybe pump up the agility a little more (I'm thinking soft cap) .

I was thinking a good level 16 WR would look like...

SPEED: 80
AGI: 50
CATCHING: 50

VIS & CONF - in progress ~25. (more if you take EQ from speed)

The question you have to ask yourself is, "Are you building a level 16 WR to star in his second season, or are you building a level 24+ WR that will star for the rest of his career?"

I can't get those to 50 and speed to 80 by level 16....

The problem is, is that I am already level 7 and only have 18 stamina. I also only have 21 catching and 14 agility. I understand the agility thing, that's why I'm gonna add all my points from boosting in there. Jumping and vision will be trained over the course of levels (didn't add them in the example for the level 16 build because I don't wanna do all the math). I wanna make sure I still go 100% speedster and don't turn into a possession receiver.

Well what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna get my agility, catching, and stamina to 30, before touching speed again. After I get it to 30, I'm gonna go 3 or 4 levels of speed.

Sounds good , know it's hard to just soft cap all of it , but for a speedster I would say agility is your no 2 skill , and therefore it should be close to your speed (I've heard that closing the gap between speed and agility will make both more effective) .

You already have the acceleration (first step) and speed , but you have to make sure you won't lose that speed when making cuts .

shaun123987, here is a thought...what if instead of spending your SP's from boosting you saved them? Your catching is at almost 22, why not train it up to 25 before investing points? You just saved three SP! Why not train your AGI from 14 to 25, you've just saved another 9-10 SP or so (level ups will boost it up some). Now you've got 13-14 more skill points to use on getting your stats up! Yes, your other skills will suffer (the ones you want to train now)...but again I ask are you building this guy for next season or for the rest of his career?

Who cares about stamina? worry about it when you are ready for a #1 or #2 spot. Find a spot on a good offensive team as a 3 or 4 WR and get 35 snaps a game which is something like 90-95% of max exp.

Again, it's not about the numbers I posted, but really trying to squeeze as my SP's out of your player as possible. It's ok not be be optimal for a season. Teams will be hungry enough for a decent player your guy will find a roster spot.

Just lay off the SA's for right now

Ya I did the SAs for an experiment but I wanna actually get this guy to be good now.

I'm saving my SPs for my RB and DT.

Training from 14 to 25 will take a long time, though. I can train catching to 25 no problem.

That's what I think I'll do. I'll train agility to 25, add 5 points to get it to 30, train catching to 25, add 5 to get to 30, and then I'll probably add the last 5 in stamina for good measure. Then I can have all 30 by level 10 (that is if he trains all his stuff by then).

^ yes it takes a long time, but in the end your player is a better play for it.

He won't have all his stuff trained by level 10. He'll be lucky if he's done by level 13 However, if you want your guy to become a better WR that's what you have to do. Saving 10+ SP's is not something you can pass up. If it means you play "below" your level for 4 or 5 levels...*shrug*. If he's gonna be around until level 40-50 (or higher)...what's important? not being as good for a few levels, or being better than average for 30?

Ugh.... I know it's better but I hate waiting >:-|

Maybe just training it to 20 will be better. Train agility to 20, and catching to 25, and then when I boost, I add 15 to them and get them to 30 and train stamina for a while and get my speed up a lot with agility. I'm a 100% speedster and I don't wanna start leaning toward possession. I just wanna get enough catching where he doesn't drop too many balls but has a lot of speed and agility.

I'm thinking about retiring him. I really only made him so I could dump speed into him like the flames guy, but that won't be possible with the update for next season. I started him off wrong and already dumped 15 points into 1 SA. I think I should just retire him and use the points for something else because I don't see him doing well and I'm not having very much fun building a WR. I think concentrating on a power HB and a pass rush DT are fun, but not the WR. You guys think I should retire him? If I do, I might make a new one next season after I see how speed and agility are affected.
