Top 5 stay still, while one team falls out and we welcome a new team for the first time to the Top 10... have at it!

Rank - Team name - Standings - Synopsis - Change

1. Austin Lumberjacks (11-1) – A tremendous victory against Tucson, a slaughter really, leaves me convinced that Austin will be playing up a league for the next season. Impressive stat of the day, 7/7 on FGs, 6 from over 40 yards, 2 from 50+. The Blaze are next, who put a surprising battle to H-Town. (0)

2. Miami Canes (11-1) – Five touchdowns in a game that wasn’t against an entirely stripped team is a good sign for a team with repeated field goal issues, that is, taking too many. Nearly 50 rushes for 250 yards with a solid 5.1 yards per carry. Charlotte is next who is looking for a playoff push. (0)

3. Raving Mad Dawgs (10-2) – Tore the Space Pirates two or three new ones, not just one. Offense was “average” for a blowout with only 450 yards picked up, but held Roswell to NEGATIVE 2.5 yards, most of the damage in 9 sacks for over 40 yards. The Mad Dawgs could likely get to 14-2 this season. (0)

4. New Orleans Golden Kangaroos (10-2) – I believe we have a new BBB13 record, a 119 victory for the Golden Kangaroos over the Rifles who are in rebuilding mode under a new owner. Over 750 yards of offense will pad the stats of the Roos. Finale with Fresno could have playoff positioning implications. (0)

5. San Marcos Rivermen (9-3) – A simple, solid, methodical victory for the Rivermen over AP, who has a poor record but hasn’t really been blown out. Not much more to say about the win for the Rivermen than that. San Vasbarba could give San Marcos a surprising run in their next matchup. (0)

6. Anchorage Maulers (9-3) – Mauled the Chicago Thunder, but seem to be having red zone finishing issues. 4 field goals kicked within 40 yards, all from inside the red zone. The defense has no concerns, forcing 6 punts versus just 1 kicked. Maulers face Tucson next, who must bounce back from two losses in a row. (+1)

7. H-Town Oilers (9-3) – Surprising victory against the Blaze in that it was as close of a game as it was. Conceding 14 points in the fourth on two touchdown passes of 59 and 20 yards meant 4 field goals made the difference. H-Town is far from done with their schedule as they face good competition yet. (+1)

8. Dallas Strikers (9-3) – Knocked off the Legends to send them to a 3 game skid. The Strikers did well to hold onto a one possession lead for the majority of the second half to win this game. Three playoff contending teams are still to come, so the Strikers need to stay hot. (+1)

9. N.H. Hounds (9-3) – Upset by Buffalo in a 2 possession game sends the Hounds tumbling further down the rankings. Four turnovers were the death of this team today. They shouldn’t be in rankings trouble though, as they have a fairly soft schedule to finish off. (-3)

10. Collinsville Pirates (8-4) – Welcome to the Top Ten oh recently mighty Pirates. After an 0-4 start, the Pirates have not had a blemish since, taking care of business against lower teams and an upset of New Orleans as well. A ten game winning streak is believable, but two tough games to finish against Miami and Raving. (+1)

Out – Las Vegas Legends (8-4) – A three game losing streak drops the Legends out, who are fortunate their last 3 games are cakewalks to guarantee a playoff spot.

"Finishing issues" are all down to the bizarrely conservative 4th down strategy.

All 10 ranked teams won, meaning they will all hold their position and I will not be doing a ranking for 7/6.

Special notice to the Resurrection who got a big win thanks to a missed XP and a FG with under a minute on the clock against the Legends.

Damn right I'm lazy. I got back to the house at midnight PST and was dead tired and just woke up 15 minutes ago. I have a dentist appointment and eye doctor appointment before job hunting all of tomorrow.

There will be new rankings on the 8th as there should be a little movement.

There will not be new rankings on the 10th as I'm having laser eye surgery that day and they highly suggested not staring at a CPU for hours.

Okay, here ya go!

What did the hooker with a glass eye say to her john when they couldn't meet that night?

"Don't worry baby call me when you can. I'll keep an eye out for you."

GROAN!!!!!!!

Good luck on the surgery.

It's just the correcting vision eye surgery, nothing serious! I'm not gonna die, I promise. The rankings will continue til the Canes are promoted in 2 weeks!
