Are they random? I don't recall ever getting equip for my MVP returners?

OK none of my MVPs got endorsements. This guy was MVP, but doesn't have a trophy?
I am sure there is some 'logical' explanation for this?

direct result of people stat padding and trying to beat the game to guarantee their dot is MVP. Bort made this change years ago.

Thanks for the reply, but it doesn't explain anything for me. If you look this player was the MVP. Nothing non legitimate about it. But if you look on his trophies page there's no trophy?

Probably was lower before team movements.
Like AAA1, now looks like Muzan Kibutsuji was MVP. But there were a bunch of dots ahead of them before D42, when squads moved up to Pro, or down to AA, etc. That scrambles everything. Only matters where it was D40-41 ... and it's kind of impossible to go back and see that now.

Isn't there also a "lottery" effect for endorsements? Like you could finish 3rd and get an endorsement, and finish 1st and not get one?

that ranking is realtime which means if someone else won it at rank 1 on day 33 in the league, and then left after day 40, you slide up from 2 to 1. but the award/eq is determined at the snapshot of d33

Yep, that's exactly what happened. I'm pretty used to my player getting the no.1 spot.
