Just not enough players or teams open for these ages. Kind of sucks.
Forum > Goal Line Blitz > Just no teams for day 80-160 players.
I'm open to retiring two of my combo TEs for the right rTEs in this age group

Yeah I'm seeing the same thing, usually most of the teams who make it past 2 seasons are all engaged players and they'll rarely leave.
Using the marketplace ads or forums is useless, I'm finding some success in messaging owners directly, got my running back signed yesterday.
Look up the relevent leagues for your dots age/level and look through the teams in every division.
If your dot is higher lvl, or the team has spaces in that position, send a dot profile link to the owner. I sent maybe 8 DMs and got 4 replies and 1 offer.

For better or worse, the era of free agency in GLB is dead. This applies to all age levels (d80, d120, plateau).
I had a top tier WR available in FA and got zero interest. Another agent had a top tier RB and got zero interest. Both dots have been league leaders at the WL/CL level.
Teams are being treated as cradle to the grave, and are generally not looking to upgrade or change from their rostered players built specifically for that team. They also generally will have a plan at the end of plateau to either reset, or effectively reset with farm team dots.
Free agency existed previously because teams tried to fill holes from declining players and upgrade individual position. That is no longer the case.
So if you still enjoy dotball building, I'd suggest connecting with a team d0 so your dots have a home for life.

I think the primary reason your WR/that RB you referenced didn't get much attention is because they only have 1 season left before decline. Teams like ours ARE looking to upgrade, we just decided to pass on all D400 dots so we don't have holes after signing 1-season deals with these old dots.

I think that's a super pedantic way of looking at it I found homes for 5 of my FAs by messaging owners who had gaps. Not ideal, ideally you want a marketplace ad to result in offers but its fine.

While that is a factor, tons of teams out there have "worse" d400 dots at those positions and were not interested in upgrading.
Also I have had similar dots hit free agency with 3 seasons of plateau left, receiving minimal interest.
As well as some blitz cb and Poss WR just hitting plateau, receiving almost no interest.
I'm not the best dotbuilder on earth, but it's pretty clear that 90% of teams aren't even opening the PLFT forum looking for upgrades.

The thing is, most aren't going to go around asking owners for spots via PM, they are just gonna retire the dots.
All my dots found good homes, but that's only because I have connections of people whom I'm blackmailing into liking me. For the average GLB'er, free agency is dead and gone.
And that's OK, it is what it is, I think the upside of a shorter build cycle will result in more longevity for dotball, despite it being the final nail in the coffin for free agency which has been on the ropes for a long long time.

The other part of the problem is that a lot of the agents in this game REFUSE to build dots the way owners want them built. They continue to produce shit builds. I have tried to reach through to many agents and most of them tell me to kick rocks as soon as I start pointing out why their build isn't garnering any interest. I am an asshole, I get it, but I am fairly good with delivering this sad news that they wasted time and money on a Receiving TE with 150 speed, 15% fake chance, and no fakes. But hey, at least the TE has 17 one handed catch.

Yeah I don't disagree, I'm a super engaged player with a bunch of excitement coming back after a long layoff (15 years maybe). So I don't mind. Would the average player who runs a couple free dots be doing the same? Probably not - but then that's what the D leagues are for.

That does remind me of something, does a CB's +5% FF help out his chance to Knock Loose?
KL is a special FFum roll. So yep, almost everything that helps forced fumbles, will help the KL roll.
