I can't add more than 5 VP to anything. Is there some new formula?

Basically, the VA restrictions didn't change, what changed was how fast we get them, so more people are bumping up against them if they aren't boosting early. I think Bort's mulling over potential changes to the VA caps at some point in the future, given his responses on Discord.
Here's the relevant part from that site above:
Limits
As you level up, the level that your veteran abilities can reach also increases:
From level 25-29, veteran abilities may go to level 5.
From level 30-39, veteran abilities may go to level 10.
From level 40+, veteran abilities may go to level 15.

Nope a very old one. Only an issue now for math nerds who aren't boosting. It's a good thing. Nothing permanent, just another small incentive to play the game as intended

Yeah it's the old level-based limit code. Maybe it should be age based now as well? Like 5 for age 40-80, 10 for age 80-120 and 15 thereafter or something like that

As pointed out in that thread, moving the 10 cap to age 80, would make the problem worse not better.
Every dot would have 21-22 VAs built up while still under a 5 cap with that method. Whereas in the current system, the early boosters got the 10 cap open right away, while the slow builders will hit it in a few more days at around age 60.
All dots would end up with 46 VAs built up before hitting the 15 cap at Day 120, requiring splitting into 5 different VAs, or sitting on a bunch unspent as well.
Age based would really need to be more like 10 cap at Day 40, 15 cap at Day 80+, or it simply makes the current capping situation worse overall. It does currently make things smoother for the early boosters - but age 80 for 10 cap, age 120 for 15 cap, would just make it messy for EVERY dot instead.
Then again, it might be interesting to forcing all dots to spread their VAs out wide early on, and then use offseason resets once they hit caps, instead of going deep in certain 'meta' VAs immediately? Or would it just end up with most dots sitting on a pile of VAs waiting?

I would think the best way would be to make it the same as the change for VP's was done... which is seasonal. VP's were age/level based... now they begin at the start of 2nd season (day 1).
Do away with the 5 cap (no real good reason to keep it) and start with the 10 cap since VP's, like dot growth, is sped up as well.
So (start of) Season 2 (day 40-80) would be 10 cap.
Season 3 (or 4) would be 15 cap.

Yeah so technically Age 41-80, 10 cap || Age 81+, 15 cap.
Just to ensure that people can't pop the cap on the day of the championship games in the previous seasons. +1, I think that makes the most sense overall as well.

Ok... so now there might be a bug. According to what's posted above... and the fact all my dots are level 53... Auto VP's ought to go until they're filled at 15... right? Well... today they ALL stopped at level 10. Again. #that'snotright
