What do you think? Anyone tested this in the past?

Worthless to 99.99% of offense players.

The ball has to be in the air for it to activate. Getting a movement boost will get you to the reception point faster, but then you wait for the ball to get there anyway

You'd have to build a receiver designed to "out Vision" the defender to get any use.

Wouldn't say worthless but there's several VA's out there better for WR's than BH. Plus, if QB is accurate then it's wasted. Only works when QB's passes are off-line. I mean the VA is all about getting TO the ball once it's airborne (as TJ said)... which happens naturally for a receiver if QB is accurate and receiver is running their route correctly (which is most of the time).

TJ has a point. I'm just jealous of defenders teleported near my receiver to get the pick that's all.

EDIT: thanks both for your response.

Yeah... it does look that way in replays. "But he was almost 10 yards away when the QB threw the ball!!!"

Agreed, I do not like ball hawk on offense at all. The only time the spd/agi is an asset is if the ball is inaccurately overthrown, which is gonna be trashy pass quality and most of the time unreachable. Only helps when the QB magically overthrows like a go-route by an amount that only the WR can get to exactly, which is going to be a very rare occurance. If a defender is around, those bad throws are always PD's or INT's.

Only the vision component is a part of the anti-PD roll (spd/agi are not) and you can't do fakes while the ball is in the air. Personally I think Catching > Jumping >>> Vision when it comes to anti-PD roll strength, though up for debate. We do know vision is 3rd highest weighted from bort quotes, fwiw. So maybe on a fake/possession receiver it could make sense? idk..

Honestly if we are looking for an underused receiver VA, I think either Underdog or Awe Inspiring has a lot more upside.

just annoying for Bort to create a VA for both sides of the ball (in theory) and be worthless for offense and great for defense. Good job as always Borf!

Do you get the general feeling Bort hates passing? I mean QB's and WR's are two of the hardest AEQ players I've ever shopped for... then VA's and SA's aplenty for most everyone but receivers... and, lastly, Bort had to put in a small 'boost' to the passing game at low levels just so it wouldn't suck so bad nobody would use it.

It has to be 10x harder to code. I might be remembering wrong, but it also seems like updates stopped before everyone in the universe realized 70+ jumping and catching made you an INT machine. One of the easiest dots to build effectively IMO.

Very true..As a d/c I find the pass defense harder to set out "on paper" than the run.... Come game time the run defense becomes far more telling whereas maybe more mediocre pass coverage plays out more often in the Ds favor...From my pov Clutch type add ons hurt much more than a specific dot/ability scenario

I remember that Venge had this on his WR's, for whatever that is worth
