How many threads are there about this, lol?

We had this same debate in University, because of points allowed, we just needed to beat Midnight to get the #1 seed. Alas, we lost. Ah well, we've snuck away the tiebreaker for the top seed numerous times due to points allowed; I guess you can't win them all. However, to lose out on the play-offs altogether due to the tiebreaker is rough. Bummer

I think there have been issues in the past where points against wasn’t the 2nd factor in seeding.

Yeah, for a long time after the league adjustment, the seeding head-to-head was broken. It only counted the first game because teams used to only play each other once. It looked like points allowed was broken sometimes.
