If it still does it might want to keep speed down a little around 77-78, use to be with tackles with a lot of speed they would jump back on the snap quite a bit letting the de run right under him but also if i am not mistaken I think is the tackle also had first step also

This guy was really good and I think his build is fairly prototypical LOT and a good guide to go by. Me personally I would have traded some of the random pass blocking SAs for more AoI and Pummel, but that's nit-picky. Its not exactly what Mauler suggested but extremely similar and has 4 AEQ and very good SAs IMO.

The only reason you build a pass blocker LOT is to help you in pass game and doesn't have maxed Pass Blocker VA and no Pocket Defender VA. Also maxed pancake SA is a waste imo.

Been years since i built a pOT...https://glb.warriorgeneral.com/game/player.pl?player_id=4531550&playoffs=0

If i did one again i certainly wouldn't bother with the BALANCE SA, would probably just add those points to Pass Block.

However, if i built a LT again i would not use the pass block archetype

Yet led NAPL in pancakes multiples seasons so 10 pancake was obviously not a waste. Was built as the LOT for a run first team that uses a lot of outside running plays and screen passes but obviously needed to be able to pass block well also. He always got the job done. Rarely gave up a pressure even against the tech man prDEs, held his blocks in the run game well even against the rsDEs, and got tons of pancakes on the DBs and LBs when he pulled outside the box. He was very successful at what he was built to do.

Good for you and for him. Just saying for a pass first team would be ineffective. Just my two cents...

Agree 100% ... tendency is to invite the rush giving up ground...Acts with/like Pocket Crusher

TBH a true Pass Blocking LoT would be a mirror of the rush DE and about as useful (which isnt much)
