For some reason day 24 (today) sounds familiar.

Is there a date when you are no longer able to cut players, or sign new players to a roster mid-season?

in 89 seasons, never had a need/option, but may this season.

In all seriousness i thought you could sign whenever, you just cant cut after a certain time. Stopped ppl from cut/signs after they were out of playoff race.

Your instincts are right, it's day 24. So, now or never! Well, until day 42, I guess...

You cannot send new contracts after day 32 if you are still alive in the playoffs. IIRC, players can sign existing contracts.

It definitely is day 24 you can't make trades past (lol) or sign any FAs. I seem to recall you could still sign a cpu dot though? Don't trust that, I'm probably mistaken about that. These are not things that typically come into play for teams.
