The war could have been won without the yanks, the nazis would have lasted a year or so more but they were spread way too thin.

That is pretty short-sighted of the history. WW2 was won because of all the Allies working together. To say one of the main countries involved both technologically and logistically could have been out of the picture and the Allies still winning is just preposterous.
