I know Bort said replays aren't always 100% accurate. I watched it frame by frame and just as the ball reaches the crossbar, it seems to make a funny motion. The image sure looks like it went over... but I suspect it really went UNDER the bar (short) which is why it appears to be a good kick. That's my take anyways.
