Why not? I'd have thought an o-line position would be a good way to begin. Though if your talking about having something happen in the game, and seeing something tangible...an...uh...ahh...CB or LB? Lots of variables and specialists type of dots in there. Tough call.

One thing don't do, invest in SA's. Concentrate on your skills and plugging as much points into it as possible.

For the New Guy, The D-League is CPU run and will put players OOP(Out of Position) The CPU favorite is a Guard Punting/Kicking

Don't worry about that--welcome to the game.

Build any position you like, but I recommend that you stay away INITIALLY from the QB, RB, and WR positions. Those cost more to boost, and on your first couple of builds you're going to make mistakes (its ok--it comes with the territory). So you'd be better off building positions that don't cost as much.

If you like offense, the rushing or receiving FBs and the receiving TEs are relative bargains. I haven't built much of anything on the defensive side of the ball, but the FS or SS position seem to be interesting and don't cost much to build/boost. If you choose either the offensive line or the defensive line, you're picking the cheapest positions to build and boost, and those are great places to learn the game.

Enjoy yourself--welcome to the game!

Thank you much, sir. I will be training myself in the art of making a defensive lineman to boot.

I echo this except for the rushing FB part. I would also include coverage and Hard Hitting Line Backers as there usually is a shortage of quality players at those positions.

Also.... now is the time to look for a quality team. Look for teams looking for players in this forum.

There will be teams looking for rookie players.... do a bit of research to get on a quality team though.
