I'm just coming back after a couple years, I have 27 players around lvl 42 lol.
I should just make new players right?

Yes but season 52 just started 7 dayd ago anf the best time is to make your players between day 40 to 48.
I would say take your free players right now to make some and mess around with them this season to relearn the game then retire them at the end of the season and start over.

How bad would it be if i made the players sooner / now? I'm afraid if i have to wait i'll loose interest again. lol

With how the age based levels are now, new players need to be made during the off season. So I would retire all those old dots and like Bluesman said.... use your 2 Free Dots to reteach yourself on how training, boosting, etc. work again. Then around day 20 start looking in the Teams Looking for Players forum for teams to join that are starting up or restarting next season. Then at the end of this season RETIRE your 2 free dots and start fresh in season 53.
