adding jumping and diving tackles SA defeats the purpose of the player. he's one of the stops on one of my teams, and we dont want him wasting points on those when he can run down just about any one. the point is that why should a player dive at a tackle when he is outrunning the ball carrier? diving tackles should be last resort.
It kinda depends on how GLB set things up, guppy. If they have diving tackle as a BONUS to making a tackle when a normal tackle doesn't work (as in a normal tackle fails so then a Diving tackle is attempted), then what the OP is asking for would be a detriment rather than a help. If it's simply a coin flip play (in other words it's totally pure chance as to which type of tackle is attempted), then the suggestion has merit.
Also, a diving tackle might simply be the ONLY play the dot can make (in other words, the dot is too far away to attempt a normal tackle... therefore a diving tackle is the only option to the dot to make a play). Again, the suggestion has merit but only if it fits the coding that GLB uses. Otherwise, it's a detriment.
