you generally have to make qb/hb early in the offseason if you want them on a cpu team. there are limited cpu spots, and they fill up quickly. support MIGHT be able to force you onto a team. but your best bet is to make another position.

Contact support to explain your situation. If they can help you out by getting you on a team, they will. If they can't do that they'll provide you with guidance as to what to do to alleviate your issue.

IMO... take the hint. Stop trying to do a position that's obviously over crowded.
Agents here are under the impression that QBs are very hard to build correctly, so they don't trust any random yahoo to build one.
If you really want to do a QB, you'll probably have to buy your own team -- and that's probably what the person who bought your team did.

you can find out on your own what positions are needed pretty quickly. there are only 2 rookie d leagues and those teams cover rookie and sophs, and each team only signs 2 QBs, so that's a whopping 48 available slots. there are no cpu owned rookie teams (i didnt check casual or peewee). so there just isn't many options available once you get this close to the start of the season. cpu teams will probably always be fully bought up now since there are so few of them. i've been on more than 1 rookie cpu team that was bought and then cut me.
your best bet to play is to not make qb or hb. FS are almost always in demand

welcome to dotball
but if you want to play, don't make the one position everyone enjoys the most

Sad but mostly true. If you really wanna build a Great QB you're gonna need to have a team BEFORE you build that wants you to build it for them.

It must not be overly crowded if you can still make Free players out of it.
This is a game, he can do whatever his little brand new baby noob heart desires to keep him interested in this game where everyone builds their dots the same.

the problem with the free player is that it takes into acct every league. There are just so few rookie slots available and many of those will get scarfed up by sophs.

Free Players only takes into account Human built dots and there's simply not enough Human owned teams right now to properly effect the 'demand levels'. I suspect he can get onto a CPU team with help from Support... and if that's what he wants then great. Problem solved. But to become a player for a Human team, he/she really needs to get set up with a team that's rebuilding NEXT season and get in before it gets going. Otherwise it's a life of D-leagues and CPU teams.

this is the opposite of how it works. the fewer the teams for the same number of players, the higher the players/team goes, thus making it less likely to build a free qb/hb.
