It depends on how many AEq and if you are going to have extra SA's.
To fully upgrade one piece of AEq, you need 300 bits plus the cost of the piece (+3 = 50 bts plus the cost of the SA/% gear).
Extra SA's start at 35 bts and go up by 35 for each additional extra SA.

Yes and the following is very important.
To BUILD a piece it costs 125 BT's for the initial purchase and 300 more to completely enhance to the max.
Important why? Because it costs 3 BT's for each refresh. Knowing these two things helps you PLAN OUT your shopping. There's simply no sense if refreshing over and over and over forever, searching for the 'perfect piece'.... because, eventually, you'll spend more SHOPPING than you would if you just built it. I generally will only refresh 12 times MAX, then go ahead and just start building. As long as I can get pieces shopping, I shop. If not, I build. And don't get all super greedy and pass by a +3 skill to one of your other primary skills (not your MAIN)... remember you can always add on the 5% bonus of choice and getting a great piece like that early (a +3 to any primary skill) is awesome. Especially if you get it early in the shopping. All those that constantly complain about not getting great pieces are the same ones that WON'T take that piece because it's not 'perfect'.

What if I was getting Juke gear? Or Monster Hit? Or Spin? They don't cost that?

No. SA's cost less than the 5% bonus. But most people chase the 5% bonus pieces as the preferred route (myself included)... I believe mostly because you can always put SP's into a SA to increase it whereas a bonus to say, break block or make tackle, can ONLY be gotten through AEQ and are very powerful additions to your dots. You mention 'Juke Gear'... I'd rather put SP's into 'JUKE' and get 3 pieces of 5% 'Break Tackle'... maybe the 4th piece could be 'Juke'... but I'd want the 3 BT AEQ pieces.

This is what was missing from your answer to the OP. It's not me who you have to explain this to as I understand all of this. What all of our answers come down to is build planning, starting with what you want in yours SA's and skill levels, and then assessing whether it is realistic.

Juke is a fake. Fake % over BT% if you want fake to fire more

This...Unless you are drunk shopping for AEQ, then it is fine to blow 300 BT looking for that perfect piece...Trust me

I gave the max cost for that reason. If you plan for the MAX cost, then adjusting downwards is easy. And if I'd posted that it only cost 110BTS for a piece and they then went and only saved that much, then they'd be pissed as hell at me for not supplying them the max cost.

If they are "pissed as hell" at you for their decisions, then I think your taking too much of their problem on.
Saying this doesn't infer that other pieces cost less:

Your post doesn't say that this is the max cost of a possible piece of a AEq and that there are other options. The follow up piece wasn't helpful either by linking Juke with %BT.
I know you know this game, but these posts suggests that you didn't explain it well in those posts.

Dude... not mad. Take a WHOLE lot of $hit to get me mad. Besides, the OP didn't ask about 'Juke gear'... you did. All my replies were to the OP in general and somewhat to you as you attempted to add additional subjects pertaining to the OP's question. I stand by my post mainly because the cost of AEQ has been posted about many times in this forum and, in almost every single case where 'cost' was asked about, MAX cost was given for the answer. Mainly because most people wanna know that is the MOST BT's one should shoot for for a 4 AEQ build when building their own pieces... that way they can adjust according to their own ideas and designs. I added on MY thoughts just in case he wasn't going to build and rather 'shop' for them instead (which is what I took from his post). That's why I included the 'build' part because, sometimes, you just don't GET what you want when you shop and you MUST build instead. It's why I plan out all my AEQ expenditures so I don't run out of BT's by being stupid with my shopping. We're good (you and me). I'm thankful you pointed out that SA based AEQ costs less than 5% bonus AEQ.
