Buying a team resets the chemistry at 70/70/70 This penalty is unwinnable for about 20 days or more. This penalty deters the purchase of CPU teams, especially anytime after day 1 as you will be facing a losing battle for most of the season. You do want to sell teams don't you? I think 90/90/90 will encourage more team purchases without the prohibitive penalty that makes it a guaranteed losing situation.

pople shouldnt be allowed to buy cpu teams after the season starts. too many people buy trophies instead of earning them.70/70/70 is already a HUGE advantage in most leagues these days. new teams already get a grace period for signing players with no chem hits. you let teams start out at 90/90/90 there would be no reason for teams to not to sell back every season, then have the players hang out on cpu teams, then buy any cpu team headed for the playoffs and load it up with their players from other cpu teams. teams that exist season after season deserve the advantage, not some owner looking for a cheap trophy.

This exact logic is why there ARE CPU teams in every single league in GLB, boy are you wrong Gup.
+1 to the idea.

c'mon avenger, you've been on this team all season http://glb.warriorgeneral.com/game/team.pl?team_id=201. why should the people buying teams the past few days have every advantage over the team that started day 1 together? right now, the player pool is barely a puddle, but if you start letting teams have no disadvantages at all for starting late in the season, we all know that teams will start gutting and buy up these teams and load them up with those same players. at least right now, there's the hope that chem at 70 will be enough to discourage it. glb has a long history of people exploiting anything possible
so a team that signs players throughout the season and ends up with their chem in the 50 and 60s should be at a disadvantage to a team that is bought late in the season just to go for an loltrophy? last season, the isotopes chem never got out of the 50s all season. this season, i didnt start recruiting for the CPUs until after the season started. our chem is just now in the upper 70s. but people are buying up the cpu teams now and you think that they deserve an even bigger advantage?
i go back to my early post. people shouldnt be allowed to buy teams after the season starts.

and the op's team is going to lose regardless of chem, because he obviously doesnt understand the penalty on having cpu players. so when his team still loses, then it'll be "reduce the cpu player penalty", then who knows after that.
Ok... then the answer would be to increase the (chemistry) penalty of a purchased team on a sliding scale based on WHEN the purchase is made. Example, is someone buys a team at the end of a season until the last day of season, no penalty at all. The influx of new dots and the outgoing of any old dots would still apply their penalties as appropriate but there would be no initial chemistry penalty. A team bought from day 1 until last day of preseason could be the 90/90/90 the OP suggests... and, for every 2 games into the season, the penalty would be increased by 5. This would still keep people from trying to 'buy a trophy' as Guppy suggests but still accomplish what the OP wants and, I think isn't a terrible idea.

Yeah, the more complicated you make it, the less likely it will happen. And since they're not making any changes at all, ever, that would mean there's less than a zero percent chance

You have like 85+ Chem at the start of the season, no? If you can't win, it isn't because of the Chem....
